Universal Pictures’ Doom (review #1, #2) is said to be the likely winner of this weeks box office competition as it opens n a whopping 3,044 theaters. Opening against it is Warner Bros. drama North County, which hopes Charleze Theron will fill seats in 2,555 theaters. Also opening is DreamWorks Pictures’ Dreamer in 2,007 theaters. Opening in only 1,684 theaters is 20th Century Fox’s thriller Stay, which is said to be quite a visual feast. But the real treasure opening this week is Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (review), which opens in only 20 theaters. Rest assured you’ll get to see this amazing Warner Bros. flick on November 11th when it opens wide! Even with the negative reviews, I’d be shocked if Doom didn’t explode this week in the box office. Check back here Sunday for the results.
