New Films Intl. has pacted with Terence Chang and John Woo’s Lion Rock Prods. to co-finance and co-produce thriller “Bloody Numbers,” with Woo protege Arthur Anderson set to direct a script by Todd Berger.
Pic, skedded to be shot on location next year in New Orleans’ French Quarter, is about a woman who must come to grips with a strange supernatural gift in order to track down a serial killer who murdered her sister.
Producing partners Christopher May and Katrina Nahikian brought the project to Lion Rock, which in turn approached the Beverly Hills-based New Films.
Other producers are Lion Rock’s Suzanne Zizzi, New Films’ Nesim Hason and Ron Gell. Chang and Woo are exec producing. Mark Clark is overseeing for New Films.
Anderson, who will make his directorial debut, was Woo’s AD on several films, including “Mission Impossible 2” and “Face/Off.”
New Films Intl., which is trying to ramp up its production slate, launched a worldwide sales division last year. Company is handling foreign rights for writer-director Craig Lucas’ “The Dying Gaul.”
