SDCC ’06: Samuel Jackson Talks ‘Snakes’ Sequel

We’ve got all sorts of great tid-bits from this year’s San Diego Comic Con that will take a good week or two to share with you all, and this is one of my personal favs from an interview Bloody-Disgusting did with Snakes on a Plane star Samuel L. Jackson. If you read on you can check out a fun blurb from Jackson regarding sequel possibilities after a real life situation on American Airlines last week. Check out more Comic Con coverage here and here. Snakes on a Plane crashes into theaters August 18th…
When asked about a sequel to the film Samuel tells Bloody-Disgusting, “We were trying to figure that out last night… I don’t know what that is, what the vehicle is that gets you in the situation on a plane [like in this film],” he continues, “we were laughing because there’s that whole real life thing with the mice on the American Airlines plane – maybe we can do rats on our plane and the tagline can be ‘Where are the f-cking snakes when you need ‘em?’ ” At that point we all busted out laughing.

Directed by David Ellis, the film centers on a ruthless assassin who unleashes a crate full of lethal snakes aboard a packed passenger jet over the Pacific Ocean in order to eliminate a witness in protective custody. The rookie pilot and frightened passengers must band together to survive.
