Sony Screen Gems Announces Three New Release Dates

Sony Screen Gems has been taking some serious action during this incredible horror boom that has been fueling our constant spending at the theater. After the major success of The Grudge (gag) and Boogeyman (double gag), Screen Gems has gone hog wild in bringing tons of horror pics for us blood-thirsty fans. Is quantity better than quality? I’m not going to answer that, but what I will say is at least they have a little something for everyone coming out. Tonight Gems has announced release dates for a trio of new horror pics, including the next film by Amityville Horror’s Andrew Douglas. Read on for the dates…
Sony Screen Gems has also announced two more dates in addition to the September 7, 2007 date for Resident Evil: Extinction, the first being for Nimrod Antal’s horror pic Vacancy, which hits theaters on April 13, 2007. The pic is about a young, married couple who, while stranded at a desolate motel, discover hidden video cameras in their room. They soon realize that unless they escape, they’ll be the next victims of a snuff film.

Andrew Douglas’ Priest will be hitting cinemas on August 17th, 2007. The pic is a vampire Western concerns a warrior priest who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
