First Casting News for Fox’s ‘Alien vs Predator II’

I really, really hated 20th Century Fox’s Alien vs Predator, which Paul W.S. Anderson just ruined in every aspect- but I’m not going to lie, I’m still pretty excited to see the sequel, Alien vs Predator: Survival of the Fittest. It was announced a few months back that Greg and Colin Strause would direct off a script by Shane Salerno, today the first casting news has come in. Read on to see who’ll star in hopefully a much better film.
Reiko Aylesworth and Steven Pasquale have been cast as the leads in 20th Century Fox’s “Alien vs. Predator 2,” which begins filming next week in Vancouver, according to Variety.

In this follow-up to the worldwide hit ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage war in an American Midwestern town – with the residents caught in the middle.

Greg and Colin Strause direct from a script by “Armageddon” writer Shane Salerno. Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and Robbie Brenner are producing.

Aylesworth, a former series regular on Fox’s “24,” recently finished filming “The Killing Floor,” exec produced by Avi Arad and Doug Liman, as well as a supporting role in “Mr. Brooks.”

Pasquale appears in the FX series “Rescue Me.” His film credits include “Aurora Borealis,” which preemed at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival. A regular on the theater scene, he starred in Second Stage’s production of “A Soldier’s Play.” He also had roles in Neil LaBute’s “Fat Pig” and “A Man of No Importance” at Lincoln Center Theater.

Round 2 begins officially on December 10th, 2007.
