Lionsgate’s Christmas Treat: ‘The Descent’

Neil Marshall’s latest horror pic, The Descent, has been announced by Lionsgate for a December 26th release, according to DVD Active. This film st will be made available in four flavours: three for DVD (that is, theatrical full screen, uncut full screen and uncut widescreen) and an uncut for Blu-ray Disc. In terms of extra features, all versions will include a director’s commentary with the cast and some trailers, whilst uncut editions also get a second director’s commentary with the crew, a making-of featurette, deleted and extended scenes, a storyboard/scene comparison, a stills gallery, cast/crew bios, outtakes and an interview with the director. The Blu-ray edition is the same in terms of features but with an enhanced “Picture in Picture Interactive” director’s commentary with the crew and trailers in HD.The DVD will include English Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1 tracks, with the Blu-ray edition supporting Dolby Digital 5.1 and 6.1 PCM.
