Takashi Shimizu Heads Back to the Underworld?

One of my favorite Asian horror films of all time is Takashi Shimizu’s low budget Japanese masterpiece Marebito (review), which was shot in just eight days, between the production dates for Ju-on: The Grudge and its US remake, The Grudge. Today we received a wild tip from an insider that tells Bloody-Disgusting that Shimizu is planning on directing a sequel to the film sometime in the future… let’s just be thankful it’s not a remake (so far). In the film a fear-obsessed freelance cameraman (Shinya Tsukamoto) investigates an urban legend involving mysterious spirits that haunt the subways of Tokyo.
