Rammstein to Release New Single in February

Rammstein has never been one to shy away from controversy. They have been accused of being Fascists, their music has been blamed for school shootings in more than one country, and their music videos are not always as easily explained as they would hope they would be. They have been consistently making music and garnering a following since 1994, and have done the near impossible with keeping the same line-up since their inception. All the while with little bouts of controversy mixed in with years of solid music making. The latest  hiccup came when the band released the first single and video off of October 2009’s “Liebe ist fur alle da”. The video was directed by Jonas Akerland (yes, the same Jonas Akerland who directed Madonna’s ‘Ray of Light’ video) and features the band performing, clad in leather,  cut with video of each of the band members playing up stereotypical porn clichés with hot chicks. The video itself could be considered porn.

This new single doesn’t promise to have nearly as interesting a video premise. It will nonetheless be released on February 9th, exclusive to Itunes, in a bundle that includes four remix bonus tracks and a digital booklet for $4.99, or the single itself can be bought for $1.99.
