Cast "Keen" on Returning to 'Sin City'

The Hollywood Reporter confirms some cast members want to return for a sequel to Sin City, “Not everyone is enamoured with Robert Rodriguez’s ultra-violent movie ‘Sin City,’ based on the dark comics of Frank Miller, but the creators are working on a sequel and the cast of stars is keen to carry on. The film, which has earned more than $72 million at the U.S. box office alone, is in Cannes as part of the main competition, raising eyebrows among veteran festival-watchers who are used to more artistic, less commercial fare.”

Finally Your First Taste of 'Marebito'!!

Easily one of my favorite low budget pictures of all time, a trailer for Tartan Films’ upcoming Marebito (review) has found its way online here. A fear-obsessed freelance cameraman (Shinya Tsukamoto) investigates an urban legend involving mysterious spirits that haunt the subways of Tokyo. Takashi Shimizu shot the film in just eight days, between the production dates for Ju-on: The Grudge and its US remake, The Grudge.

Weisteins to Release 'Wolf Creek' This November?

In a recent article in The Advertiser, they reveal when we might see Greg McLean’s Australian flick Wolf Creek (review #1 #2), “At the official after-party aboard the Miramax film company’s yacht, Lightfoot said Wolf Creek would use its Cannes screenings to launch into the lucrative U.S. market in November.” The film, made for less than $2 million, centers on a group of backpackers who have a run in with a loopy stranger, played by John Jarratt ["All Men are Liars"]. Zero Skull Fun: Review for 'Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist'

I think Buzz’s quote sums up Warner Bros. Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist pretty nicely, “This film is screamingly funny. From the annoying, persistent music to the over-earnest acting to the hilariously bad special effects, just about every element is off-key, and the cumulative effect is staggering – think “Showgirls” with a demon possession (and Elizabeth Berkeley’s dancing doesn’t count)…” Just click here for the review and then take a trip to the theaters this weekend for the laugh of your life! Schrader’s version stars Gabriel Mann, Stellan Skarsgard, Clara Bellar, Ralph Brown and Israel Adurama.
