Black Sabbath Announces Summer N. American Tour

A full Black Sabbath N. American summer headlining tour has been announced wherein the band will be hitting the road in late July, playing 20 markets before finishing in early September. The band will be touring in support of their upcoming release 13, which comes out June 11th (pre-order the album here. I know I’ll be at the DTE Energy Music Theater show, so who’s going to join me?

Black Sabbath Release New Single “God Is Dead?”

Heavy metal legends Black Sabbath have finally released the first single from their upcoming album 13, which comes out June 11th. Entitled “God Is Dead?”, the song is a dark, foreboding, sinister rocker that has all the earmarks of a classic Sabbath track. And for those of you who doubted Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk, rest assured that he nailed his role and brings a solid performance that doesn’t seek to stand out or dazzle but rather fit in perfectly with what the band is doing. Black Sabbath Releases Another In-Studio Video

Heavy metal icons Black Sabbath have released another in-studio video that shows Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler discussing what it’s like working together again. Producer Rick Rubin and recording drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine) also chime in on what it’s like working with the three legends. You can watch the video below.

Black Sabbath To Be Investigated On CSI

Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath will be premiering their first single “End Of The Beginning” on…CSI? Yup! Apparently the band was interested in premiering their track on the hit CBS show and executive producer Don McGill readily agreed. The band will be featured on the show as a concert performance attended by several of the show’s characters.

When we first heard that Black Sabbath was interested in premiering a song on CSI from their first studio album in 35 years, we were all really excited. So many of us are longtime fans,” says McGill.

Suicidal Tendencies Announce Details For First New Album In 13 Years: Tour Dates Confirmed

Legendary punk/thrash band Suicidal Tendencies has announced that they will be releasing their first new album in 13 years and it is fittingly entitled 13. This is going to cause a little bit of confusion as Black Sabbath‘s new album is also called 13. Ah well, such is life.

The new album will be released March 26th via Suicidal Records and was produced by Mike Muir and Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater, Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Hole). This album marks the 30th anniversary of the band.

Lead vocalist Mike Muir states, “First, thank you for all the people that have patiently waited for this record. Now I will shut up and let the music do the talking.

British heavy metal band Black Sabbath have uploaded a new studio update video that includes interviews with members Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler as well as drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine) and producer Rick Rubin. Black Sabbath Announce New Album Title And Release Month

Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath have announced that their first studio album in 30 years will entitled 13 and will be coming out this June. Not only that, but the band has revealed the recording drummer as Rage Against The Machine‘s Brad Wilk, who took over drum duties after original drummer Bill Ward stepped out of the reunion. The album was produced by Rick Rubin and recorded primarily in Los Angeles.

[News Bites] Cannes Edition: Eli Roth Returns to Horror, ‘War of the Dead’ Acquired, ‘Last Exorcism’ Director Plays Game Of ’13′ & Another ‘Possession’ Tale

Screen Daily has blasted through the Canes market and delivered a series of small updates all contained in this edition of News Bites. It begins with the news that Worldview Entertainment will finance and produce The Green Inferno, Eli Roth‘s directorial follow-up to the Hostel franchise. Plot points on the horror-thriller remain under wraps and production is set to begin in autumn in Peru and Chile. Roth co-wrote the screenplay with Aftershock co-writer Guillermo Amoedo from an original story by Roth. Roth recently directed the pilot episode of Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove.”

The Little Film Company has licensed the sci-fi thriller War Of The Dead (review) to eOne in the US, Momentum in the UK and Alliance in Canada. Marko Makilaakso directed the story “set during the second world war as an elite troop of US and Finnish forces encounter a terrifying enemy deep in the frozen forests.

IM Global president of international sales Jonathan Deckter and the team expect a torrent of interest on a roster that includes Gold Circle’s supernatural thriller The Possession Of Michael King from first-time director David Jung. “Grieving the loss of his wife, documentary filmmaker Michael King sets out to disprove the existence of the supernatural, with horrific consequences…

IM is also selling 13, a remake of a Thai horror film, with The Last Exorcism director Daniel Stamm attached. It’s unclear what movie this actual is, but doing some research makes me believe it’s a remake of 13: Game of Death (pictured above), about a down-on-his luck salesman offered $100 million to play a “game show” featuring 13 secret challenges. The catch? The tests grow increasingly intense and morally questionable, but if he quits he loses everything. Chookiat Sakveerakul directed the 2006 original.

Lastly, Fox will distribute Spanish teen comedy Promocion Fantasma (Ghost Graduation) in North America and Latin America, reports Variety. Fox has committed to a U.S. theatrical release on the Spanish-language film. 20th Century Fox and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment recently revealed they are co-developing an English-language remake. Helmed by Javier Ruiz Caldera (Spanish Movie), “‘Graduation’ centers on a high-school teacher with paranormal abilities who tries to tutor a group of students through their graduation exams — despite the fact they died in a school fire 25 years earlier.READ MORE

Trailer for ’13 Tzameti’ Remake

Star heavy and directed by the film’s original helmer Gela Babluani is 13, which follows a young construction worker whose family is having hard times overhears a conversation through a hole is a rooftop and undergoes an impulsive journey that he hopes will lead to a fortune. However, to his horror, he finds himself in a high-stakes contest-to-the-death, with little hope of victory or escape. The film is a remake of the incredible 2006 neo-noir 13 Tzameti and features Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, Jason Statham, Sam Riley, 50 Cent, Ray Liotta, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Michael Shannon, Ben Gazzara and even Alex Skarsgard. So why can’t this find a release? Hmmmmm. While we wait for Overture/Relativity to announce a release date, the trailer has made its way online and can be viewed below.
