30 Seconds To Mars Release Video For “Up In The Air”

Alt rockers 30 Seconds To Mars have released a lengthy music video for their new single “Up In The Air”. Directed by Bartholomew Cubbins, the video features a vast array of images and scenes, some surreal and eerie while others are artistically engrossing. The clip also features burlesque icon Dita Von Teese and Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney as well as a slew of other guests. While I don’t see much of an underlying message here, it’s still a visually engaging clip. You can check it out below.

“Up In The Air” comes from the band’s upcoming album Love Faith Lust + Dreams, which comes out May 21st (pre-order on iTunes. READ MORE

[Random Cool] Mars Curiosity Rover Gets A Nice Dose Of Anthrax

On every Mars morning, the folks at NASA wake up the Mars Curiosity Rover with some good ole’ fashioned music. There were people wondering what that music might be, so in a recent Reddit Q&A session, the crew put out the playlist. Included were songs from Beatles, Wagner, Anthrax, 30 Seconds To Mars, and more. I think this is a really cool idea. Instead of just hitting an ‘On’ button, they ‘wake up’ the rover with good ole’ fashioned music. I just wish that there were a place where people could make their own submissions and NASA would follow through. How cool would it be to have your name and song picked for the Curiosity wake up call?
