Terrible News Comes in A Lonely Place to Die Clip

Now available nationwide on VOD (via IFC Midnight on Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, Time Warner, and Bright House) and in special limited theatrical engagements (11/25/11 Market St. Cinema Little Rock, AK, 12/02/11 TIFF Bell Lightbox Toronto, 12/09/11 Gateway 8 Columbus, OH) is Julian Gilbey’s British thriller A Lonely Place to Die (review), starring Melissa George (Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night, Turistas) and Ed Speleers.

The picture also stars Sean Harris and Karel Roden and “follows a group of five mountaineers hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands. When they discover a young girl buried alive in a small chamber in the wilderness they become caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety.”

Kaleidoscope Entertainment has released the official U.K. trailer to Julian Gilbey’s pretty incredible British thriller A Lonely Place to Die, starring Melissa George (Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night, Turistas) and Ed Speleers.

A bidding war in ongoing for U.S. rights after a wildly successful premiere at Fantasia. Read my my positive review out of the fest.

Fantasia ’11 [Review] ‘A Lonely Place to Die’ a Riveting Circus of a Movie!

My favorite film out of the ongoing Fantasia Film Festival was Julian Gilbey’s absolutely incredible UK thriller A Lonely Place to Die, a rule-breaking genre film starring genre veteran Melissa George (Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night, Turistas).

“This genre mash-up is a riveting circus of a movie that refuses to ever ease off the pedal. It’s so badass that Gilbey ignores the rules of cinema and risks it all to deliver a nonstop punch in the face that will have you on the edge of your seat from minute one.”

Inspired by Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game”, and looking similar in tone to the recent A Perfect Getaway is Julian Gilbey’s A Lonely Place to Die. Starring Melissa George (30 Days of Night, Amityville Horror, Turistas), Ed Speleers, Sean Harris, and Karel Roden, the thriller follows a group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness. They become caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety. Bloody Disgusting was tipped off to the first teaser trailer that can be viewed inside. It looks pretty awesome (once you get into it) to me!

This morning we were tipped off to a behind-the-scenes promo for Julian Gilbey’s A Lonely Place To Die (aka The Grave at Angel’s Peak), which stars Melissa George (Turistas, 30 Days of Night, Amityville Horror), Ed Speleers, Sean Harris, and Karel Roden. The thriller begins when a group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness.
