It’s Friday! Twisted Music Video Of The Week time! This week we’ve got Dimmu Borgir‘s “Gateways”, which comes from their most recent album Abrahadabra (iTunes). Featuring guest vocals from Agnete Kjølsrud (ex-Animal Alpha, Djerv), the song is a fast-paced symphonic black metal ride that is pretty damn catchy and features some fantastic vocals towards the end. As for the video, it shows the band performing in an abandoned factory of some sort while all sorts of weird and crazy things happen around them. Gravity is defied, people bathe in blood, and organs are thrown about willy nilly. Check it out below!

‘Gateways’, the first video released to support the new album ABRAHADABRA by Norwegian symphonic black metallers DIMMU BORGIR, is now available for viewing at the Nuclear Blast Europe &  DIMMU BORGIR YouTube channels.
 
Created by Katapult Films (Rammstein) director Sandra Marschner (Marilyn Manson, Children Of Bodom, Mando Diao), the ‘Gateways’ video features guest vocalist Agnete Kjølsrud (Djerv, ex-Animal Alpha) and regalia by Tod Waters and Giuliana Mayo of Junker Designs (‘In Sorte Diaboli’, ‘The Serpentine Offering’, ‘The Sacrilegious Scorn’).

A foreboding Wagnerian majesty will soon shroud all major cities in the U.S. and Canada.  Launching the “Darkness Reborn Tour” on Friday, November 5th in Worcester, Massachusetts, Norway’s infamous symphonic black metallers Dimmu Borgir return to the western hemisphere on a headlining, 32-date run across North America supported by fellow countrymen Enslaved and Blood Red Throne, plus Dawn Of Ashes from Los Angeles.

“Gateways,” the single off the new album by Norway’s symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, is now available for streaming on the band’s MySpace page.
 
Fans who are interested in receiving an orchestral version of “Gateways” plus additional exclusive Dimmu Borgir content can do so by entering their e-mail address into the widget located HERE.
 
Dimmu Borgir’s latest offering, ABRAHADABRA, will be released in Germany on September 24th, in the rest of Europe on September 27th, and in North America on October 12th.

The artwork created for the new DIMMU BORGIR album Abrahadabra by German artist / painter / graphic designer Joachim Luetke (Arch Enemy, Kreator, Sopor Aeternus) has been uploaded to the band’s MySpace page.

The word “abrahadabra” (which roughly translates into “I will create as I speak”) first publicly appeared in Chapter III of Liber AL vel Legis (commonly referred to as The Book of the Law) written by Aleister Crowley in Cairo, Egypt in 1904.
