I’m a huge fan of cover songs that take an original and give it a fresh new spin. Just look at my 5 Great Cover Songs list and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

That’s why I was completely blown away by Sam Westphalen‘s acoustic cover of the classic Slayer track “Seasons In The Abyss”. Westphalen uses a very percussive approach to the acoustic guitar, creating some amazing moments. I can go on and on about it but I simply recommend you head on down and check it out. READ MORE
