Soen, the group formed by ex-Opeth drummer Martin Lopez, has released a video of an acoustic performance of their song Ideate, which comes off their debut album Cognitive (review). The song translates beautifully and the dark, creepy atmosphere of the room really helps set the tone and mood. I’d definitely give this a listen if you’ve got a free three minute block. Slipknot and Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor will be hitting the road later this fall for a book tour/acoustic guitar set/Q-and-A session. Talk about a full evening, right? Corey will be reading excerpts from his book, Seven Deadly Sins, which Taylor’s personal story. Based on the version of Spit It Out he performed in the video below, I’m definitely gonna check this show out!

It’s hard to describe the kind of band Bobby Joe Ebola And The Children MacNuggits is. It’d be easy to claim them as different, but that’s not good enough. Funny? Yes, at times. Good? Absolutely! You’ll understand what I’m talking about after watching their video for “Time Is Crawling“, which is exclusive to Bloody-Disgusting! Best way to describe the feel of the video: if you’ve ever had a job that you loathed so much, you were forced to have nothing but evil thoughts. That aside, the video is awesome and creepy and we’re very happy to premiere it. Enjoy!

Against Me! Release Their Video For ‘Because Of The Shame’

Against Me! have finally released a video for my favorite song off of White Crosses for “Because Of The Shame“. The video was directed by Jason Thrasher who also did the acoustic video for this song, which you can watch past the break. The live footage was shot at the last Common Grounds show on May 24th in the bands hometown of Gainesville, FL. “Because Of The Shame” will also be on their upcoming reissue of White Crosses appropriately titled White Crosses / Black Crosses which will be the band’s first release on their label Total Treble. It will be released as a 2xCD and 3xLP July 26th and will feature all the songs on White Crosses as well as the 4 bonus tracks, acoustic versions and the songs recorded with former drummer Warren Oakes before his departure.
