Want To Know Who Will Transform In ‘WER’?

Want To Know Who Will Transform In WER?

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Epic Movie‘s Brian J. O’Connor (pictured) has landed the lead role opposite A.J. Cook in WER, the found footage werewolf flick shooting next month in Romania. Simon Quarterman (The Devil Inside) and Vik Sahay (American Reunion) round out the cast.

As previously reported, Cook star as “Kate Moore”, a defense attorney determined to clear the name of her client, “Talan Gwynek” (played by O’Connor), who is the main suspect in the grisly multiple slaying of an American family. While Talan appears to be gentle on the surface, his attorney soon learns that Talan is actually a werewolf.

As we previously reported, the FilmDistrict release takes place in Translyvania police station with the suspect turning into a werewolf.

The Devil Inside and Stay Alive‘s William Brent Bell will direct from a screenplay by longtime collaborator Matthew Peterman.

Steven Schneider, producer of The Devil Inside, The Tall Man and the Paranormal Activity films, is producing the film with Peterman and Morris Paulson through their production company Prototype. Robert Hall and his newly re-branded Almost Human Inc. is tackling the Makeup and Visual Effects for WER. READ MORE

Wanna Play Show & Tell? I’ll Show You a Clip From ‘Mother’s Day’ and You Tell Me What You Think!

I hope you’re excited, because I am! Anonymously showing up in my inbox this morning was an exclusive leaked clip (probably in preperation for EFM this week) from Darren Lynn Bousman’s hotly anticipated Mother’s Day!

The scene, which I like to cal “Show & Tell”, features a tense moment between Mother (Rebecca De Mornay) and the tied up Daniel Sohapi (Frank Grillo). “Now its time for show and tell,” exclaims Mornay. “I am gonna show, and you ARE gonna tell.” The moment continues as she pushes deep into Daniel’s past, burning a photo of his dead son before giving a partygoer a little alcohol bath (yikes!)

The clip then evolves into a montage of footage featuring stars Jaime King, Deborah Ann Woll, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, Matt O’Leary, Lyriq Bent, Lisa Marcos, Patrick Flueger, AJ Cook, J. LaRose, and Warren Kole.

In the thriller arriving in theaters April 1, three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons’ escape, teaching the house’s new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way.

I’m currently shooting ’11-11-11′ and I find out things like the rest of the community,” Bousman told us when we checked in on the clip. “I wake up every morning hoping to see a trailer or a poster, or something else. I am as in the dark and frustrated as you are. I hope we see movement soon. I really feel its my best film and I want people to see it.

Dig on the clip below and then hit the “reply” button to tell us what YOU think.
