This has been a heavy week for horror fanatics with several amazing and even startling new headlines regarding some of our favorite franchises popping up every week. Of course, for those of you who bought Alan Wake, you probably haven’t noticed any of these headlines, so I’m here to give your mind an intellectual massage. What does that mean? I’m not entirely sure, but it sounds sort of gross. But you know what? I like gross, so let me get my fingers in there so I can better soothe your horror-living self.

Alan Wake will be out May 18th for the Xbox 360, and I have to say I don’t want to wait another 2 months. The game is looking incredible. Nothing new to report, a few new screens past the break for you all to check out.

For those who don’t yet know, Alan Wake follows Alan Wake and his wife who head to Bright Falls in hopes of breaking Alan’s case of writers block. But when Alan’s wife goes missing, thing’s take a horrible turn for the worst. READ MORE

Gameblog.fr got their hands on 5 minutes of Alan Wake gameplay, and it looks incredible. And it confuses the hell out of me. But it makes me want to play it that much more.

Alan Wake goods have been few and far between, which sucks for such a beautiful and seemingly amazing looking game. But I’ve got a trailer here for you, and some screens past the break. Also you get some bonus’s for pre-ordering the game.

If you pre-order the game for Xbox 360, you will receive a shirt for your avatar, a totally sweet looking theme, and a behind the scenes video of the making of Alan Wake, featuring the creators at Remedy Entertainment. The game is out May 18th for the PC, and Xbox 360. READ MORE

E3: Sony’s E3 Line Up

In a more unorganized fashion, Sony has revealed their E3 line up in this press release you can read beyond the break. With a decent line up it’s going to be tough for them to keep up with Microsoft.

“We’ll have another great year in 2009 because we have an amazing line-up of exclusive games on tap, including Gran Turismo 5, UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves, ModNation Racers, MAG, and God of War III, not to mention an onslaught of content hitting PSP with fan favorites such as LittleBigPlanet, RockBand, and Metal Gear Solid,” said Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America. “PlayStation has been redefining consumer entertainment since its inception and we have no plans to stop. Silent Hill fans get ready for a little tease of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, courtesy of the folks at G4. In the demo clip, Tomm Hulett from Konami demoes the new game for Wii at the ongoing E3 event in California. The game will follow a similar plot to the original with the protagonist Harry Mason searching for his daughter, Cheryl in the mysterious town of Silent Hill, following her disappearance after a car accident.
