After taking a rocket to the face in the fifth game, Resident Evil’s resident baddie who refused to die finally went the way of so many other video game bad guys. Today, he’s back, even if it’s only in spirit. David’s an Italian cosplayer who decided to don Wesker’s black suit and shades, resulting in a rather spectacular rendition of the former S.T.A.R.S. leader.
Pictures after the jump!
I really can’t think of a better way to say farewell to Christmas — and the apocalypse, at least for the time being — than with this special holiday message from Resident Evil’s Albert Wesker. He seems a little bitter, like he’s not happy with Chris for leaving him in the mouth of a volcano or with Capcom for not including him in Resident Evil 6, but he did make this song for us so the least you can do is watch it. I suggest snuggling up close to that special someone in your life, maybe set your computer in front of a crackling fire where you’re undoubtedly roasting chestnuts, and enjoy this video. It may be Wesker’s last Christmas, but we still have plenty more to look forward to.
Now this is a petition I can get behind. After realizing D.C. Douglas, better known to geeks around the world as the voice of Albert Wesker in Resident Evil and Legion in Mass Effect 2 and 3, would not be appearing in the upcoming Resident Evil 6, Nathan Narain decided he needed to get his dose of Douglas in another way. That’s where AMC’s insanely popular The Walking Dead comes in, because D.C. Douglas + zombies = magic, so why not get him a role on the show? We might recognize him for his work in video games, but Douglas also has two decades of acting in various films and television series under his belt. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, the petition is only a little over 500 signatures strong, but we can change that. Come on, people. Show your love for democracy, your love for America, by signing this petition because together we can make the world a better place. Or at the very least we can make the already excellent The Walking Dead just a wee bit better.
