Neven is a washed up musician living his his own faded shadow in Atlanta. One night, after another sparsely attended gig one his his former bandmates Terry shows up and playes one of their own demo records backwards with fatal consequences. Now He must return to his roots and revisit a past he had hoped would stay forever buried. He has to find all six cursed demo records and decipher the eerie hidden messages before more blood is shed.

Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is only a couple of days away from its US release and I highly recommend it. You may have just read David Harley’s review – which makes many good points – but I liked it more than he did. My opinion of it is somewhere in the 8/10 range of Brad’s review. I also can’t stress enough how much you shouldn’t be expecting something similar to Alien. Prometheus is its own movie and its best to approach it on those terms (and let the Alien elements be bonus points along the way). I’m posting my spoiler heavy review (for discussion purposes) late tomorrow after the film’s US release. In the meantime, I’m continuing with our exclusive video interviews.
Today’s interview is with Ridley Scott himself, who I spoke to in London last week. We talk at length about the ideas and themes in the film, and also touch a bit on what the tone of the sequel might be (if it happens). Scott is a verbose, thoughtful man and I recommend giving him 6 or so minutes of your undivided attention.

I’ve seen Ridley Scott’s Prometheus twice now and I like it quite a bit. It’s not without its issues, but I think it’s an interesting, inquisitive and intense movie that’s full of questions (if not so many answers).
Myself and a few other journalists sat down with Scott a few days ago in London to talk about the journey of Prometheus to the screen. We also touch on a question a lot of people are asking, “why does the technology in this film look different than in ‘Alien’?” Scott also discussed his original plans for the film (back when it was titled Alien: Paradise).
