Tremonti Releases Music Video For “Wish You Well”

Hard rock band Tremonti (led by Creed/Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti) has released an official video for “Wish You Well”, which comes from their album All I Was (review). If you just want the music video portion of the video, you can exploit the Wadsworth Constant. However, if you want some creepy imagery then I’d recommend watching the whole thing.

Tremonti will also be embarking on a European and US tour starting in February. Check out the dates below. READ MORE

Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Creed Members Form Projected

Sevendust guitarist John Connolly and bassist Vince Hornsby have teamed up with Alter Bridge/Creed drummer Scott Philips and Tremonti/Creed guitarist Eric Friedman to form Projected. The band will be releasing their debut album Human on Sept. 18th. In anticipation of this release, the band has released a lyric video for their first single “Watch It Burn”, which you can watch below.

John, Vinny, Eric, and I have shared many miles and many stages together over previous years,” explains Scott Phillips. “We’ve always talked about collaborating and now it’s finally come to fruition. I might possibly be one of the biggest Sevendust fans ever, and to get the opportunity to work with a few of my favorite musicians on the planet, and some of my best friends, means the world to me. We wholeheartedly believe in these songs…believe in John’s vision…and couldn’t be happier about the future of Projected!

As Vince Hornsby continues, “I’m grateful for the opportunity that I was given to work on this project with John, Scott and Eric. They are great friends and talented musicians. I look forward to getting all the songs out there for everyone to hear and excited about what the future holds.

And Eric Friedman concludes, “Just a buncha bros doin’ what we love!READ MORE

Mark Tremonti is perhaps one of the most talented guitarists in mainstream popular rock today. So it was only a matter of time before the guitarist would strike out and release his own solo effort. Enter All I Was, his first solo album released under the moniker Tremonti, an album that Tremonti wanted to use to show his love and appreciate for metal. Tremonti Single “You Waste Your Time” A Big Hit On The Ole’ iTunes

Mark Tremonti’s (Creed, Alter Bridge) solo project Tremonti released its first single, “You Waste Your Time”, last week to smashing success on the iTunes Rock Singles Chart. Landing at #10 just one day after being released on iTunes, the song comes from the upcoming release All I Was, which will be released this July.

“I am overwhelmed by the positive response the song has received already. I never imagined it would hit
the Top 10 so quickly and that is a testament to the amazing fans I have. I couldn’t have gotten anywhere
in my career without them and want to thank each and every one of them for their support. I can’t wait until
they hear the rest of it,” states Tremonti. READ MORE

Creed Back In 2012? I’m Already Nauseous Thinking About It

Words cannot describe how generic, boring, and, in general, awful I think Creed is. Sure, they had a good song here and there (remember What If from the Scream 3 soundtrack?), but the vast majority of their music had me wanting to drive an icepick through my eyes Session 9 style.

Well, it looks like I’m going to have to find some girl to go Basic Instinct on me soon as drummer Scott Phillips has announced that Alter Bridge will take a break while singer Myles Kennedy will work on a new album with Slash. The rest of the band will be teaming back up with Scott Stapp to work on a new Creed album plus a 2012 tour.
Below is a perfect representation of what I hear when a Creed song comes on.

Alter Bridge’s Mark Tremonti Wants To Release A Thrash Metal Album

Mark Tremonti, guitarist of Creed and Alter Bridge, has announced that he wants to record and release a thrash metal album. Speaking to ‘Robb’s MetalWorks’ in San Antonio, Tremonti has said: “I just had three months off while Myles was touring with Slash, so I figured it was a good time to get some music put together. I collaborated with Eric Friedman and Garrett Whitlock. All this stuff that I wanted to see the light of day that never really got used for Alter Bridge and Creed is what I’m putting on the record. There’s a lot of speed metal and thrash stuff in there — riffs that I had sitting around — that I’m putting on this record. So it’s definitely a heavier-sounding album.”

Knowing Tremonti’s style and his influences, I’m thinking that this could work and actually end up sounding pretty badass. What do you all think?
