Hope you have a meal voucher. The Grudge director Takashi Shimizu’s new airplane thriller 7500 won’t be taking off for at least another 7 or 8 months. That’s a long wait to figure out what the hell is going on in that photo. Per Deadline, “The horror-thriller 7500, directed by Takashi Shimizu, is moving to a yet-to-be-determined date in 2013 from August 31, 2012.

It kind of makes sense though. This is a crowded summer that has already seen one of the biggest blockbusters ever (The Avengers) dominate the marketplace. Even supposedly surefire things like Dark Shadows are only tracking moderately. The move doesn’t necessarily mean the movie’s bad – it might just mean that it’s too small of a movie to properly compete in this climate.

A few days ago we posted a still from 7500 that was sourced from the print edition of Entertainment Weekly. Turns out they had cropped Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween 2) from the image, but the web edition of the magazine has the full still. And she doesn’t look quite the same, to be sure.

Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Leslie Bibb, Jamie Chung, Nicky Whelan, Johnathon Schaech, Christian Serratos, Scout Taylor-Compton, Jerry Ferrara and Alex Frost all star in the film.

Entertainment Weekly landed the pic, which I have to say looks kind of nondescript. It doesn’t exactly strike fear into my heart. We’ll see how things shake out when the film is released though.
