‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Trailer Analysis: What The Hell?

Anyone who’s stuck with the series of films that call themselves Resident Evil despite having really no connection with the games at this point outside of some familiar characters and the Umbrella Corporation is fully aware that Retribution is almost definitely going to be more of the same. I have no problem admitting that I actually enjoy watching the movies for their mindless action and spectacle. All I need to do to prepare for a Resident Evil movie night is turn off my brain, get real comfy and press play. My ability to enjoy the series for what it is changed pretty drastically with the last flick, Afterlife, a movie that took the nonsensical story and awful acting to almost impressive levels of stupid. If the movies stay on track, Retribution is very likely to be the worst movie so far. Head past the break for a critical, thought-provoking analysis of the film’s new trailer (who am I kidding? Alright Beliebers, next week sees the release of Justin Bieber‘s new single, Boyfriend. I’m guessing that many of you simply cannot WAIT to hear it! Unfortunately, we don’t have the actual song for you. However, we do have the lyrics! But there are a few things that puzzle me a bit about them. I usually don’t do this, but when a trailer debuts for a game like Resident Evil 6 and shows actual gameplay, I have no choice but to scour every little detail, pixel, and second of footage and see if Capcom hid in there. If you’re looking forward to this game – and I’m sure a majority of you are since the series is finally returning more closely to the action/horror of Resident Evil 4 – then you might want to join me for this in-depth trailer analysis.
