There’s a lot of app talk today, isn’t there? Well World War Z is getting in on it too! Paramount Digital Entertainment and Phosphor Games Studio bring have announced the iOS and Android app for release on May 30th.
“Offering a fully immersive experience, players are dropped into the middle of the World War Z chaos. Casual and core gamers will both love the game’s action-packed first person experience and electrifying story. Featuring 28 visceral levels, intense combat, engaging puzzles, upgradable weapons and armor, an unlimited challenge mode, and a global scale, this game challenges you: play to survive.”
Meanwhile the film is in theaters June 31 from director Marc Forster. The zombie epic stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, and David Morse.

The PlayStation and next Xbox may be grabbing most of the headlines right now, but the Ouya — the crowdfunded Android console that raised an impressive $8.5 million on Kickstarter last summer — is arriving before both. The console will cost a cool $99.99 and come first to Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target. I got my hopes up only to have them dashed, but maybe you could be one of the lucky ones. Thanks to AfterTheAsylum for the news tip, I read on PocketGamerSilent Hill is available for download on Playstation Certified Phones. From my research there aren’t many PCPs. As of right now. But the magical E3 brought news that HTC and Sony got together and are making Playstation Certified Phone Babies. So, keep an eye out for more PCPs in the near future and keep checking your Android Market to see if you can get the game. If I find anything else out I’ll let you guys know.
Exciting news was just announced for you Call Of Cthulhu fans, as the game will be coming to Android and iPhones. The award winning RPG will be coming to mobile phones seemingly in parts. The 1st part Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land takes place in World War 1, as a team of investigators and soldiers go up against an ancient enemy who us building an undead army.

I thought this was HILARIOUS, so I thought I would share it with our beloved fans. Shave Me! is a ridiculous app you can get for most newer mobile phones. Basically the screen is a harry patch of skin and it’s up to you to shave it. With razors, electrics, use shaving cream. You can even cut to deep and make the skin bleed, then you have to put toilet paper squares on the skin and after shave.

The gaming industry in 2010 brought in somewhere over 33 billion dollars, and that is with sales of around 3.2 billion games. Those are amazing numbers to see in such a terrible economy. It goes to show us gamers the industry is not going to slow down for anyone ever.
