We’ve got a new poster for Anthony DiBlasi’s followup to Dread, Cassadaga. While I waited around for most of the day hoping a larger version poster would show up, it hasn’t. I’ll be sure to update if one becomes available.
“Devastated by the death of her younger sister, Lily Morel seeks solace at the spiritualist community of Cassadaga. But instead of finding closure, she contacts something else – the vengeful ghost of a murdered young woman. With her life crumbling all-around her, Lily races to unravel the mysterious circumstances surrounding the woman’s death – a task that will bring her face-to-face with a sadistic serial killer known only as “Geppetto”.”
The film stars Kelen Coleman, Kevin Alejandro, Louise Fletcher, Rus Blackwell, Hank Stone, J LaRose and Amy LoCicero. For more info, hit up David Harley’s set visit here.

Last October, Tim Anderson and I trekked over to Sanford, FL to visit the set of Anthony DiBlasi’s Cassadaga, which premieres this coming Saturday, October 22 at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in CA. The film – which centers on a deaf girl who attempts to contact her late sister’s spirit during a seance but instead attracts the avenging ghost of a murdered woman – looks to have some fairly intense moments judging by what we saw during our trip.
The two days we were on set for, which also happened to be the final two days of principal photography, were filled with things we can’t really get too specific about – like what exactly is going on in Gepetto’s lair – but Tim did a really respectable job of giving you guys an idea of what you’re in for without completely ruining any third act plot points.
Read past the break for Tim’s set visit report and check back shortly for interviews with the film’s producers, Scott Poiley and Bruce Wood, as well Anthony DiBlasi.

Last week Bloody Disgusting’s David Harley took to the Florida filming of Cassadaga, Clive Barker alumni Anthony DiBlasi’s follow-up directorial effort to Dread. Featuring Kelen Coleman (“CSI:NY”), Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”), Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Rus Blackwell (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Hank Stone (Punisher), J LaRose (Saw 3, Mother’s Day, Insidious), and Amy LoCicero (“Drop Dead Diva”), the supernatural thriller centers on a deaf girl who attempts to contact her late sister’s spirit during a seance but instead attracts the avenging ghost of a murdered woman. While David works on his set report, inside you’ll find some of the first ever pics, including a pretty haunting image! DiBlasi recently wrote, directed and exec produced Dread and served as exec producer for The Midnight Meat Train. He is co-producer for Hellraiser, currently in development.
