Horror-influenced metalcore band Motionless In White have released a video for “Black Damask”, which comes off their Fearless Records release Infamous (iTunes). British metalcore band Asking Alexandria are about to embark on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour alongside As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire, and Attila. Suicide Silence was supposed to also be on the bill but the passing of singer Mitch Lucker has obviously required that band to pull off of the tour. Now, Sumerian Records label mates I See Stars have been added to the bill. They will be playing between Attila and Memphis May Fire. Tour dates and ticket information can be found here.
Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce states, “First and foremost I would like to talk about a dear friend of mine who was prematurely taken from us this month. Mitch Lucker was one of the kindest and most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. My thoughts are not only with his family and friends, but also with the millions of people, worldwide, who Mitch helped to mould and inspire into the people they are today. A great man was lost who’s love and passion reached all corners of the globe. As many of you know, Suicide Silence were preparing to join us on our upcoming ‘Outbreak’ Tour. Due to the devastating circumstances they will no longer be joining us physically. They will however, Mitch included, be with us in spirit. We will go out on this tour with As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire & Attila to pay our tributes and respects to Mitch and his brothers in Suicide Silence. A portion of all tickets and official tour t-shirts sold will go to Mitch’s daughter for the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund.
“Suicide Silence could never be replaced on our tour as they are the only band in the world who could bring their element, intensity and power to the line-up. For the sake of giving the fans the best show we can under the circumstances, we have decided to add Sumerian family members I See Stars to the bill, NOT AS A REPLACEMENT BY ANY MEANS, but as another band who’s love and passion for music and their fans is as tried and true as ours. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our collective love of music and to show compassion & solidarity in our scene. It’s time to put aside all petty differences and remember what it is that brings us all together, the music. Mitch- from myself and everyone else who will be taking part in this tour, you are forever in our hearts. This one’s for you. We love you. Cheers” READ MORE
Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci has put together a video (that was shot at the Sumerian Records offices) calling out Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke (who used to be the singer of Escape The Fate) for his incredibly egomaniacal attitude that includes kicking support act I See Stars off of the “The Thug In Me Is You Tour”, throwing fans out of venues for simply wearing t-shirts or chanting “I See Stars!”, and, perhaps the most idiotic, throwing microphone stands into the audience at Six Flags in Jackson, NJ, causing physical harm to several fans AND banning all future metal shows from ever playing that venue again. Below is the video that includes fan interviews, news coverage, and footage of Radke being an egotistical prick. Also below are statements from I See Stars and Ronnie Radke. READ MORE

To add to all the other awesome exclusives we here at BD Music have gotten this week, we are super pleased to bring you the video for Winds Of Plague‘s “Refined In The Fire“. The video is nothing less than entertaining and features a bunch of gore and zombies. “Being a big fan of both horror films and Halloween we wanted to do a video to tie into both.” Says vocalist Johnny Plague. “We created a video set in a post apocalyptic era… Not too long into the video you realize the cause of the end of society as we know it, ZOMBIES! I play the role of zombie slaying bad mother fucker roaming the dessert looking for salvation. Instead I find a shack infested with all sorts of evil. To capture this horror based music video I recruited my people at Knotts Scary farm. Designer Brooke Walters as well as a legion of monsters. Happy Halloween followers ofPlague, stay bloody!” Read past the break to check the video out. Enjoy! READ MORE
English band Asking Alexandria have released a new music video for Not The Average American, which comes off their 2009 album Stand Up And Scream. Apparently Charlie Sheen is a metalhead. After seeing Asking Alexandria‘s performance on Jimmy Kimmel, he personally extended an offer to the band to be an opening act on the ‘My Violent Torpedo Of Truth Tour‘. Due to prior tour obligations, the band regretfully declined but stated that they “…would like to publicly thank Sheen for this special invite and promise him that the tiger’s blood runs deep in all of them.”
So Charlie Sheen now needs opening acts to make his show seem more appealing? Withfailure after failure, I’m not surprised. READ MORE

The kind gentlemen of metal band Emmure were gracious enough to send me their Top Ten Horror Movie list. A few movies were in here that I’ve never seen mentioned before and needless to say I was very happy with their picks. Their new album “Speaker Of The Dead” will be in stores February 15 on Victory Records. You can pre-order the album HERE.
Asking Alexandria has announced the ‘Reckless And Relentless’ US headlining tour with direct support coming from Emmure, Chiodos, Miss May I, Evergreen Terrace and Lower Than Atlantis. All That Remains has just premiered the video for their massive new single “Hold On” exclusively on MySpace Music. The clip, helmed by Ramon Boutviseth (Trivium, Dream Theatre), features a narrative involving a variety of characters dealing with internal struggles and their inability to change their fate as their world crumbles down around them, both figuratively and literally. The force behind the destruction is the manifestation of their dark emotions, which All That Remains embodies as they unleash an epic performance in a post-apocalyptic urban wasteland.
“Hold On” is the first single for ATR’s new album For We Are Many, one of the most highly anticipated metal albums of 2010, coming out through Prosthetic Records / Razor & Tie on October 12th. The album hits the same day the band heads out on a month-long U.S. headlining tour with support from Asking Alexandria, Unearth, Born Of Osiris, & And She Whispered. Decibel Magazine called the album, “Proof that neck-snapping tempos, thoughtful soloing and a catchy chorus or three can co-exist,” while Outburn Magazine remarked, “If there was ever any question as to whether All That Remains deserved to be considered among the melodic metalcore elite, For We Are Many will dispel any lingering doubts once and for all.”
The album can preordered now via Prosthetic Records. An exclusive version of it is available for pre-order on iTunes which includes a bonus track available, and an instant download of “Hold On”.
Sealakes, the new solo project from Casey Lagos debuted a video of Lagos recording the song Go Again on www.myspace.com/sealakes. Lagos plays drums, guitar, bass, piano and performs vocals for the project. “I started playing drums and guitar when I was three years old. I usually write songs by a riff appearing in my head and from there I can imagine the whole arrangement with drums” Lagos said. Two songs Go Again and Every Heart appear on the myspace page and hint at the muscular yet melodic approach of the project.
Though only 22 Casey Lagos has been a professional musician for over six years. The Orange County CA resident was a founding member of Stick To Your Guns who released their first album on Sumerian Records (The Faceless, Asking Alexandria) when he was sixteen. Around the same time Lagos was playing drums for rhythmic hardcore unit, The Warriors which afforded him the experience and connections to give Stick To Your Guns a good kick off. After years of touring and contributing writing for a significant portion of Stick To Your Guns sophomore album Comes From The Heart (Century Media 2008) Lagos left to pursue a different path. ’After I was done playing with Stick To Your Guns I wasn’t sure what direction to head in. I knew music was the only thing I ever did well in but there weren’t any doors open at the time. It’s a crazy story but I went to a prayer group that’s part of my church. I told the lady running it that I just needed to see God’s direction clear as water and after praying she said God would give me a voice and he wants me to use it for him. I had always had a clean singing voice since I was a kid, but that hit me like a ton of bricks. On the drive home I tried to scream, which i could never do before, and it came out with ease, every time I got goosebumps. I then had all the pieces to the puzzle, seeing as I could already write music, the vocals were all of a sudden there, and I knew what I had to do.’

In what has become an Evergreen Terrace tradition, a side-splitting tour wrap up video has been posted that highlights some of the more ridiculous moments of the tour. Among other things, they eat Kangaroo shit, almost get murdered and get their hands on some Horny Goat Weed – all that and more can be seen now on MetalBlade.tv HERE.
Evergreen Terrace played SXSW in Austin, TX earlier this year and guitarist Josh James hosted a segment for Metal Blade TV that showcased a phenomenon unique to metal and hardcore: moshing.
