Review: ‘Baltimore: The Widow and the Tank’

The latest Baltimore one-shot is an engaging and gritty, post-WWI apocalyptic adventure, fascinatingly woven into a double feature that sees our protagonist battling vampire soldiers in England, and fiendish monsters in France. Chronologically set amidst the action in Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden’s graphic novel of which it’s based on, but prior to the events in “The Plague Ships”, “Baltimore: The Widow and the Tank” documents Lord Henry Baltimore’s travels killing monsters, in hopes of finding The Red King and avenging his family. A Busy Summer For Mike Mignola, ‘Hellboy’ Author Announces New Series ‘Baltimore’ For August!

I’m beginning to worry for the sanity of Mike Mignola if things continue the way they are for him this year as far as his workload is concerned. To go along with two new ‘HELLBOY’ arcs, a new “B.P.R.D” series, and an all new “ABE SAPIEN” mini with “THE ABYSSAL PLAIN”, it would seem like there is enough on his shoulders as it is. Well, apparently that’s not the case as today it was announced that the scribe would be releasing a new arc in yet another of his titles, and this time it is “BALTIMORE”. Inside you can find all the info on the title. Read on for the skinny.
