The Hike

Kate (Zara Phythian) is back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan after seeing her soldier boyfriend die in combat. She has reunited with her best friends back home, who whisk her away on a ‘healing’ camping trip to a picturesque and remote area of the British countryside.

The girls make their way into the woods in search of the perfect place to camp, to forget their sorrows, and enjoy their time together. On their hike, they come across a mysterious group of Eastern Europeans, who seem to be living off the land. They quickly move on to avoid an awkward confrontation and continue to their destination.

When they reach Sunset Point, they meet a group of rock climbers and form a quick and flirtatious friendship. But when darkness falls, and one of their friends goes missing, the girls will be forced to rely on each other, and the rock climbers to find their friend and get out of the woods in one piece.

Well Go USA has picked up North American rights to Strippers vs Werewolves from U.K. independent sales and distribution label Kaleidoscope Film Distribution. It will release on DVD May 7. Until then, click the above image to check out a series of behind-the-scenes production sketches.

In Jonathan Glendening’s Strippers vs Werewolves, a turf war breaks out after a strip-club murder in this kick-ass revenge saga full of immense action and sharp one-liners.

The stunning Barbara Nedeljakova (Hostel, Hostel II) leads the cast alongside Sarah Douglas (Superman), Robert Englund (Freddy vs. Jason, Nightmare on Elm Street), Lucy Pinder, Martin Kemp and Ali Bastian.

Jeanette, the club’s careworn owner, believes murdering customers is bad for business, so she orders the club’s bouncer to quietly dispose of the body. And there the matter should end … if Mickey hadn’t been a member of a bloodthirsty and vengeful pack of werewolves.

When Mickey’s corpse surfaces, Jack Ferris, the werewolves’ charming and vicious leader, swears bloody vengeance and sends his pack out to hunt down the killers. Little does he know, Justice is actually the fiancée of his second in command, Scott. To make matters worse, Justice bites Scott during sex and now may be infected with the curse of lycanthropy herself.

Add to the mix werewolf Barker, the masturbating man-child; Sinclair, the occultist with low self-esteem; and a bevy of the most beautiful women this side of heaven and you have the perfect recipe for balls to the wall, frenetic, skimpily clad, strippers on werewolves action-packed goodness.

Hostel

Written & Directed by Eli Roth, Presented by Quentin Tarantino, HOSTEL is a mixture of many of the most terrifying things about human nature and the world at large, culled from many impossible-but-true stories of human trafficking, international organized crime, and sex tourism.

Relentlessly graphic and deeply disturbing, the film is sure to shock even the most hardcore horror genre fans. HOSTEL tells the story of two American college buddies Paxton and Josh who backpack through Europe eager to make hazy travel memories with new friend Oli, an Icelander they’ve met along the way. Paxton, Josh, and Oli are eventually lured by a fellow traveler to what’s described as a nirvana for American backpackers – a particular hostel in an out-of-the-way Slovakian town stocked with Eastern European women as desperate as they are gorgeous. The two friends arrive and soon easily pair off with exotic beauties Natalya and Svetlana. In fact, too easily… Initially distracted by the good time they’re having, the two friends quickly find themselves trapped in an increasingly sinister situation that they will discover is as wide and as deep as the darkest, sickest recess of human nature itself – if they survive.
