The Oct. 4th release date for the Batman: Arkham City soundtrack is fast approaching but The Dark Knight can’t stop that from giving you listeners more chances to hear some music. So, in that spirit, AlternativePress is now hosting Blaqk Audio‘s contribution, entitled Afterdark.
Check it out after the jump and let me know your thoughts!
Batman: Arkham City is easily one in my Top 5 anticipated games for the rest of the year. The Caped Crusader has always been my favorite comic book hero so I naturally can’t wait to go about Gotham City whooping some villain ass. And what better way to help me through that than some kick ass music! Check after the jump to hear Coheed & Cambria‘s contribution, Deranged.
Everyone who I know that has played Batman: Arkham Asylum absolutely loved it. Honestly, if you haven’t played it, get yourself an Xbox 360 or PS3 (your choice), get the game and don’t leave the room until you’ve beaten it. It’s because of how much I enjoyed the first game that I’m looking forward to Batman: Arkham City, which comes out Oct. 18th.
Everyone knows Two Face. He’s crazy. But then again most all of the enemies in Batman are completely wacked out. Luckily for us we’re going to be seeing him in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City
Head past the break to read a little bio on him, and expect to see the game October 18th for the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. READ MORE
Batman: Arkham City keeps getting better and better. Not only do you get to play as Batman, but Catwoman and Robin as well? I’m still waiting on a smoking hot Batgirl. No Alicia Silverstone please. Maybe, Olivia Wilde? YES. Any ways, moving forward, check out the incredibly sweet and super long Arkham City gameplay video. It’ll get you more amped for the game, trust me.
Batman: Arkham City is shaping up nicely. Though I would expect no less considering the awesomeness that was Arkham Asylum. So check out some sweet new screenshots past the break, and some epic renders of Catwoman and Penguin.
Just announced is basically exactly what you just read in my incredibly clever title. While playing the campaign as everyone’s favorite bat, Catwoman’s story will seamlessly intertwine with Batman’s. Basically allowing you to continue on playing Catwoman’s story and then back into Batman’s. I had a HELL of a time trying to upload the video, and it still didn’t work, so check it out from GAMETRAILERS
She will also be playable in the challenge maps (which I sold my soul to satan himself to get rid of) which might actually make them fun, seeing as you’ll be able to bust out some sweet acrobatic moves as Catwoman. Batman: Arkham City will be available October 21st on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Side note, Arkham City is said to be 5 times as large as the game world in Arkham Asylum. According to my calculations, that should give us, hmm, I don’t know, 428 hours of gameplay. Epic. READ MORE

It goes without saying that Paul Dini is a huge Batman fan. Well he is penning the Arkham City comic book, and really, I wouldn’t want anyone else to do it. He wrote both Arkham games, and the Animated Series.
The comic will pick up 1 year after Batman: Arkham Asylum took place, and the new mayor decided to create “Arkham City” to hold all the thugs of the city. You’ll be able to digitally download each issue in the mini series for $2.99 each as they come out. These releases will alternate with eight-page digital-first interludes that will expand on the story included in the miniseries. Written by Dini and drawn by a variety of artists, these digital stories will focus on The Dark Knight’s many enemies as they vie for power in this new city within a city. Each eight-page digital-first interlude will be available for .99 cents, releasing in between issues of the mini-series, and will later be included in print in the BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY collectors edition. Look out for issues 1 and 2 launching in May. READ MORE

Back in December a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum was announced. Well it has officially been named Batman: Arkham City. In Arkham city they have walled off the heart of the city to house the badies. The bad news? It’s not coming out until fall of 2011. OVER A YEAR FROM NOW!
Lame, but, I’ll wait. Keep an eye out for more. And keep an eye out over a year from now for Batman: Arkham City on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. READ MORE
