Hear Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s Song For Batman: Arkham City

RollingStone.com has an exclusive stream of the new track Shadow On The Run from Black Rebel Motorcyle Club, which is the track they recorded for the upcoming soundtrack to Batman: Arkham City. The song is slow, atmospheric, brooding, and kinda sexy, much like the Dark Knight himself. You can stream it by clicking here.
Bassist Robert Been: “The developers of the game contacted us to see if we were interested in the project. We’ve never worked with video game developers before and figured it would be a different kind of challenge.”
“We did it pretty fast,” Been explains. “We built it in pieces, brick by brick, like three little pigs trying to avoid being sweet-talked by the big bad wolf.”
The OST for Batman: Arkham City features 12 brand new tracks from various artists. Check after the jump for the full list.

Batman: Arkham City Soundtrack Has New Songs From Coheed And Cambria, Serj Tankian, And More

Everyone who I know that has played Batman: Arkham Asylum absolutely loved it. Honestly, if you haven’t played it, get yourself an Xbox 360 or PS3 (your choice), get the game and don’t leave the room until you’ve beaten it. It’s because of how much I enjoyed the first game that I’m looking forward to Batman: Arkham City, which comes out Oct. 18th.

Today it was released that a soundtrack for the game will also be released that features brand new music from artists such as Panic! At The Disco, Serj Tankian, Coheed & Cambria, and many more.
Coheed & Cambria frotnman Claudio Sanchez said, “I write in a very conceptual format with the stories that surround Coheed and Cambria, but Batman has a much larger, defined history and rules that go along with it. My goal was to find universal themes from Batman’s existing history to help give the lyrics legs and dimension so that the song could live within that world.”

Play As Catwoman In Batman: Arkham City

Just announced is basically exactly what you just read in my incredibly clever title. While playing the campaign as everyone’s favorite bat, Catwoman’s story will seamlessly intertwine with Batman’s. Basically allowing you to continue on playing Catwoman’s story and then back into Batman’s. I had a HELL of a time trying to upload the video, and it still didn’t work, so check it out from GAMETRAILERS

She will also be playable in the challenge maps (which I sold my soul to satan himself to get rid of) which might actually make them fun, seeing as you’ll be able to bust out some sweet acrobatic moves as Catwoman. Batman: Arkham City will be available October 21st on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Side note, Arkham City is said to be 5 times as large as the game world in Arkham Asylum. According to my calculations, that should give us, hmm, I don’t know, 428 hours of gameplay. Epic. READ MORE

Batman: Arkham City Comic Book Mini Series? Lots Of Nerd Boners All Around?

It goes without saying that Paul Dini is a huge Batman fan. Well he is penning the Arkham City comic book, and really, I wouldn’t want anyone else to do it. He wrote both Arkham games, and the Animated Series.
