First Behind The Scenes Footage From The ‘Carrie’ Remake!!

Kimberly Peirce is officially behind the camera for Carrie, the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s coming-of-age novella. The MGM/Screen Gems stars Chloe Moretz (Kick Ass, Let Me in), Julianne Moore (Hannibal), Alex Russell (Chronicle), Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Judy Greer (The Descendants) and Portia Doubleday (Youth In Revolt).

Principal photography started last month Toronto, Ontario and some behind the scenes footage was just released that shows Peirce directing Moretz as Carrie. The footage gives us look at the popular girls of the high school emerging from the locker room during swim class and Carrie’s reaction to (and confrontation with) them. If anything, it’s a tiny glimpse into the dynamic at play between our heroine and her tormentors (one of them asks her to “wipe that smile off your face.”) Thanks to FreddyKrueger13 for the heads up.

In the film, “The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

*Clip removed per request of studio. Carrie hits theaters on March 15, 2013.

Black Ops II, Theme Song By Trent Reznor And Written By David S. Goyer. Take That Hollywood.

The video game industry has grown exponentially over time, and it’s only going to get bigger. In a poll I made up right now some people would argue that the video game industry has grown to be even bigger than the movie industry. Bringing in billions and billions a year, over the past 10 years the gaming industry is seeing much more people from movies and tv making the cross platform jump into working on video games. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is no exception. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame scored the theme song for the game. David S. Goyer who helped write the original Black Ops as well as the Batman Begins series is again writing Black Ops II. Check out the featurette video below where David, Trent, and the games Devs talk about Black Ops II.

Call of Duty Black Ops II will be released November 12th on the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

On Set Video From ‘The Lords Of Salem’ Gives Hint About Maria Conchita Alonso’s Character

Rob Zombie will hopefully be premiering the trailer for The Lords of Salem or making an announcement regarding its release any day now (or any month now). But in the meantime, for those starving for anything Salem, there’s some fly-on-the-wall video from the film’s set that hints that Maria Conchita Alonso’s character might be some kind of (dark and weird) painter.

The story is about a local DJ who mistakenly unleashes a hellish curse on the town. 300 years earlier on the very streets of Salem that the townspeople walk on today, innocent folks were rounded up from their homes, convicted of being witches and sentenced to death. The Lords of Salem ran the town with an iron fist, but four witches who were tortured and killed in secrecy vowed that one day they would be back for revenge.

Meg Foster, Ernest Thomas, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Torsten Voges, Bruce Dern, Sheri Moon Zombie, Dee Wallace, Billy Drago, Richard Lynch, Lisa Marie, Maria Conchita Alonso, Ken Foree, Bruce Davidson, Christopher Knight, Michael Berryman and Sid Haig all star.

E3 2012: Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Welcomes You To The Future With Open Arms

With a series like Call Of Duty, you really have to step things up from game to game to keep things fresh. With a game being released every year the series can get stale fast. So Treyarch is bring you the the future in Blops II and I couldn’t be more excited. It actually looks like they are doing quite a bit of re-hauling to set the game apart from past Call Of Duty games. A big part of that at least for me is zombies mode is definitely making a big comeback. Head past the break to see a behind the scenes video to show you what it’s all about.

Would You Believe There’s Another ‘Prometheus’ Featurette? Ridley Scott Says He Wants To “Scare The Sh*t Out Of You”

Don’t get me wrong. I’m soooo looking forward to Ridley Scott’s Prometheus that I can barely stand it. I can’t wait to see the film. Cannot. Wait. This one has some really cool new stuff in it along with a bunch of behind the scenes footage, but you’re probably already in the bag for this movie. I know I am. We will continue to present a lot of this stuff to you – but I’m treating everything from here on out with a “view at your own peril” attitude. There’s no real spoilers here, it just depends on how saturated you want to be beforehand.

Lollipocalypse

Don’t Worry, It’s Only Another Lollipop Chainsaw Featurette

Much like how rainbows fly from the open wounds you inflict on the hordes of undead in the next month’s Lollipop Chainsaw, the game itself has a soft, romantic center hidden under all that blood and rock and roll. It’s kind of like TJ–beneath that bloodied, brutish exterior lies a kind young boy just waiting for someone to come and give him a big hug. In case you were wondering how the hell they managed to mix lollipops, rainbows, cheerleaders and romance with zombies, gore, chainsaws and severed limbs, this new featurette could answer some of your burning questions. I had a burning question once, but I got some ointment and it cleared up after a few weeks. Anyway, head past the break for a new behind the scenes featurette!

See Tons of Practical Effects Work on ‘The Thing’ Remake!

See Tons of Practical Effects Work on The Thing Remake!

Remember Universal’s The Thing remake? Yeah, I forgot about it too, at least until I started work on my worst of 2011 list being featured later this month. One of the biggest faux pas in the Strike Entertainment prequel/redo was that the film featured an insane amount of CGI. Much like DreamWorks’ Fright Night 3D, it was rumored that the CGI was used to mask a lot of practical work.

Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc., the company behind the visual effects in the creature feature, has uploaded a new video that proves without a shadow of doubt that there should have been a lot more practical effects. Are you ready to have your mind blown? Are you ready to turn red in rage? Are you ready to finally admit that the prequelmake is a piece of sh*t? You will in about 5 minutes…

The Thing arrives on Blu-ray January 31, no word on if this will be included in the extras. READ MORE
