Electro-indie group ANR (Awesome New Republic) has made their latest mix-tape Tope Hooper available for free download here. The mix-tape is inspired by the films of Tobe Hooper as well as “other originals and covers about murder“, per member Michael-John Hancock. You can also stream the mix-tape below.

We’ve also included ANR’s video for “Big Problem”, which is a slasher-themed video that includes some bare breasts, so I’ve had to designate it NSFW. Check it out below! READ MORE

My friend Audrey turned me on to ANR by shooting me a link to their song ‘Big Problem‘. The video plays out like a slasher film and the music in the beginning is VERY reminiscent of old John Carpenter soundtracks. Careful as there are some possible NSFW moments (nudity, violence, gore, the usual).
