In “House of 1000 Corpses”, two young couples take a misguided tour onto the back roads of America in search of a local legend known as Dr. Satan. Lost and stranded, they are set upon by a bizarre family of psychotics. Murder, cannibalism and satanic rituals are just a few of the 1000+ horrors that await.
The film opens with the demolition of the turn of the century prison and the uncovering of a sub-basement structure that houses the 100 year old remains of several brutally slain children. However, this only leads to a more disturbing discovery that eventually unveils a legion of demons and their even more chilling origins.
The pic follows a young girl from a wealthy Malibu family who fell under Manson’s spell. She was not one the “Family” members involved in the clan’s infamous murder spree, but Pitman was later imprisoned after she became involved with the Aryan Brotherhood and was convicted of being an accessory (after the fact) to murder.
New York, a city of the hopes and dreams for many Americans, lies in ruin. The streets and skyscrapers that symbolized the strength and prosperity of a people have become places of horror and despair. The cultural hub of the western world is now home to only ash and blood. For the few people left alive there is only one dream – Survival. Zombies, the living dead, have taken the city. Ben (Tony Todd) and Barbra (Danielle Harris) find themselves trapped and fighting to escape the hordes of undead that walk the streets
A group of townspeople seeking refuge in an old farmhouse from undead brain-eaters.
Theatre of the Devil is about deranged illusionist Xanthus as he seeks a vessel to bring his long lost love back from the grave. He finds Diana, a ruthless killer on the run and the two begin a cat and mouse game in an attempt crush the other’s spirit. In the final act, nothing is what it seems. The difference between reality and illusion is uncertain in this deadly game of cloak and dagger. The tables continually turn until the curtain falls, and only one will see the light
Lionsgate’s Texas Chainsaw 3D arrives on 3D/2D Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), DVD (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View on May 14th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. In addition, there will be an early digital window on April 30th.

Lionsgate’s Texas Chainsaw 3D has raked in a whopping estimated $23 million proving that horror is king and that fans still want to see the Sawyer family in action.

Evan Dickson survived the onslaught and had this to say about Lionsgate’s hotly anticipated Texas Chainsaw 3D:
“If “dumb fun” can still be considered harmless – because sometimes it feels like we’re fighting for the very survival of cinema and all that – then that’s exactly how I’d peg Texas Chainsaw 3D. It’s not what most people would call a “good movie”, I’m not sure I can even call it that. But I do know that it engaged me, entertained me and made me laugh more than at least 60% of the horror movies I saw last year.”

It mostly does what TV spots do, which is to say it’s shorter than a trailer and only has a few new shots. Somehow though, I actually like this TV Spot more than I like the official trailer.
