Silent Night, Bloody Night: Homecoming

The abandoned home of Wilfred Butler, a wealthy but troubled man who committed suicide in 1982, has been willed to his grandson, Jeffrey. The house has sat in disarray since Wilfred’s death, standing in the way of developers who want to turn the property into residential homes. Just before Christmas 2012, some thirty years after Wilfred’s death, Jeffrey and his lawyer appear in town to negotiate the sale of the property. But an Axe wielding maniac has set up residence in the house, and he doesn’t take kindly to strangers.

First Teaser Trailer For ‘Silent Night, Bloody Night: Homecoming’, Film Picked Up For Distribution In The UK

101 Films has acquired the UK distribution rights to the independent horror film “Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming“. The film is a UK based remake of the 1974 American slasher movie “Silent Night, Bloody Night“. Produced by Andrew Jones and directed by James Plumb of Mad Science Films, the cast of the new version includes Adrienne King, star of the original Friday the 13th. Robert Graham of Independent Moving Pictures and Manish Patel executive produced.

Written by James Plumb and Andrew Jones, the film, “tells the story of Butler House, a mansion that has sat in disarray since the death of it’s owner Wilfred Butler in 1987. Just before Christmas 2012, Wilfred’s grandson Jeffrey and his lawyer appear in the town of Fairwood to negotiate the sale of the property. But an Axe wielding maniac has set up residence in the house, and he doesn’t take kindly to strangers.

First Stills From ‘Homecoming,’ UK ‘Silent Night, Bloody Night’ Remake

Gearing up for Cannes sales, we’ve landed the first images from Silent Night, Bloody Night: Homecoming, a UK-based remake (not to be confused with Anchor Bay’s Silent Night) penned and directed by James Plumb from a screenplay he co-wrote with producer Andrew Jones. The film is being shot on location in Bridgend and Swansea, South Wales.

The cast includes a special appearance by the star of the original Friday the 13th, Adrienne King. Richard Goss, Sabrina Dickens, Sule Rimi, Rorie Stockton, Philip Harvey, Victor Ptak, Rosemary Smith and Matthew Batte also star.

Principal photography wraps on May 11th.
