The new Evil Dead film will be coming out next Friday and it seems like the entire horror fanbase is on pins and needles awaiting its release. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve seen such hype for a horror release since I began here at Bloody-Disgusting back in late 2009. From the look of it, it’s a film that not only respects the horror fanbase but is a film made for us. Still, having not seen the film, I can only wait with you and hope for the best.

This excitement and fervor has swept into the music world and members of some of the most extreme and intense bands out there want to share their thoughts on the original films and the upcoming remake. Scion A/V Presents FREE Earache Label Showcase With Oceano, Vektor, Bonded By Blood, And White Wizzard

Scion A/V Metal is teaming up with Earache Records for a free showcase on Jan. 12th, 2013 at 1pm PST in Pomono, CA. The showcase will be headlined by Oceano with support coming from Vektor, Bonded By Blood, and White Wizzard. To RSVP, click here.

David DiSanto of Vektor said, “We’re real stoked to be a part of this event. 25 years is longer than most of us have been on Earth! Congrats to Earache and thank you to Scion for all of the support for the show. See you sleazoids there!“.

Bonded by Blood’s Carlos Relgado adds, “We are excited to say that we are going to be a part of this year’s Earache showcase, along with Scion who have been super cool and have gone out of their way to support us and the scene. We just couldn’t be more grateful for them to put on shows like this – down the street from where we rehearse none the less! The Glass House in Pomona has always been one of the best known (yet also sort of unknown) places to play. In the past couple of years or so they have not been having very many metal shows. We are hoping to change that.

Bonded By Blood Release Video For “Crawling In The Shadows”: It Has A Dragon

Thrash metal band Bonded By Blood have released a video for “Crawling In The Shadows”, which comes from their latest album The Aftermath. The video shows a woman being stalked by a dragon before the two come crashing together in a final, violent confrontation. Who shall win, the beast that is the dragon or the “I am woman! Hear me roar!” heroine? Check below to find out!

My personal favorite part of the video isn’t the story or the band performance but rather the clear neck guitar that pops up during the solo. It’s pretty sweet to see the strings as though they are shadows. Don’t know, just thought it was pretty awesome! READ MORE

Sepultura To Headline N. American Tour

Sepultura have recently signed to Nuclear Blast and as a celebration of their upcoming Nuclear Blast debut record, they decided to do a full North American headlining tour! Joining them throughout the tour will be Belphegor, Hate, Keep of Kalessin, Bonded By Blood, Neuraxis, and later on in the tour, Nevermore will replace Belphegor.

Here’s a statement from guitarist Andreas Kisser: ”We are very happy to play once again in the US, especially after a long time away from the American and Canadian stages,” commented guitarist Andreas Kisser. “We’re also excited to start working with our new label Nuclear Blast. They have a rich history in the heavy music business and we are honored to have such a partner. We are currently working on a new record, that will be released together with the American dates, so it will be our first tour for the new album. Hope to see you all at the shows! We will play the whole history of the group and we’re going have a blast! See you on the Sepultour 2011!”
