Tomorrow marks the release of the US bonus edition release of Twelve Foot Ninja‘s debut album Silent Machine (pre-order on iTunes). The band has already been making huge waves across the metal scene for their quirky, almost avant-garde approach to tech metal. And to hype things up just that wee bit more for their fans, guitarist Steve MacKay has yet another Top 5 list to bring you readers! Last week MacKay gave his Top 5 Horror Movie Plot Twists and today he wants to share with you his Top 5 Movie Death/Murder Scenes. Now, admittedly one of the selections just goes with a whole franchise but when you see which one I’m sure you’ll not only let it slide but you’ll also agree wholeheartedly. Check it out below! The sixth annual Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival lineup has been unveiled and I’m already beginning to lose my mind! The festival will be headlined by shock rocker/horror director Rob Zombie along with Five Finger Death Punch and will also see performances from Children Of Bodom, Machine Head, Behemoth, Job For A Cowboy, and many more.
Personally I’m very excited to see Rob Zombie again as well as get a first chance to see Behemoth, Amon Amarth, and Battlecross.
Tickets for the festival go on sale this Friday at 12pm local time. The full 26-date trek and lineup can be seen below.
Also below is a FFDP tour reel that features new music from the band’s upcoming summer release. The video features samples of the band’s new song “Here To Die”. READ MORE

Starting on Thursday, Born Of Osiris will be hitting the road with Unearth for the month of November. Support will also come from The Contortionist, Obey The Brave, and Wolves At The Gate. Then, in February, the band will be touring Europe with After The Burial, Monuments, and The Haarp Machine.
However, the band is not only content hitting the road. They’ve also announced that they are close to completing the songwriting process for their follow-up to The Discovery and will enter the studio in the spring with Nick Sampson (I Am Abomination) to track the new effort.
Lee McKinney (guitars) states: “I would say the direction of this album is along the lines of The Discovery, but definitely a lot heavier and a lot more focused when it comes to song structure. We’re trying to give each song a powerful, thematic feel. This next record takes all of the best aspects of The Discovery and develops the ideas even further. We already have so much material that we plan on revising and refining over the next few months. While we do that we will still continue to write more and in the end I think we’ll pick the strongest 10-12 songs so we can drop the best BORN OF OSIRIS record to date.”

Alright, so starting today, I figure that every once in a while I’ll record a video of me doing something that I think makes a difficult task just a bit easier. This isn’t going to be a scheduled series or anything like that. This is just going to be one of those situations where something pops into my head and I figure, “You know what? I want to share this with the readers so that their life is made better.”
To kick things off, I wanted to show you a trick that I learned on how to remove those really pesky stickers that are on the top of CD jewel cases. Check out this video below to see me open up Testament‘s Dark Roots Of Earth the irritating way and then Born Of Osiris‘ The Discovery MY way. Hope you enjoy! READ MORE
