[Video Interview] Ashley Greene On The Difference Between ‘Twilight’ And ‘The Apparition’, How She’d Like To Die In A Horror Movie

Warner Bros. will release writer/director Todd Lincoln’s The Apparition at the end of the week. The film stars Ashley Greene as Kelly, a young woman whose new home is brought under siege by an evil spirit. I sat down with Greene on Monday at the Four Seasons here in Los Angeles and we talked about how The Apparition differs from her work in the Twilight saga, whether or not she believes in ghosts – and what she would consider the ultimate way to go out in a horror film.

In the film, “When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force…

Head inside for the interview. The Apparition appears in theaters this Friday, August 24th. READ MORE

Comic-Con ’11: ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’ Press Conference

A coterie of “Twilight” stars showed up for the heavily-hyped press conference at Comic Con early this morning to dish on Breaking Dawn: Part 1, the latest entry in the seemingly never-ending ‘tween fantasy series that will be released on November 18th to a horde of screaming young girls, drooling gay men, and countless thousands of desperate MILFs who creepily enjoy fantasizing about the now-legal Taylor Lautner.

First up were co-stars Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Julia Jones and Booboo Stewart, who star as Alice Cullen, Rosalie Hale, Esme Cullen, Leah Clearwater and Seth Clearwater, respectively. The foursome gamely took questions from the legion of already-exhausted reporters about filming the latest installment and whether they expect the series to continue on after Breaking Dawn: Part 2, the supposed final entry in the series, is unleashed in fall 2012.

Inside are a few of the “highlights”…

First ‘Breaking Dawn’ Image: A Whole Lotta Humpin’ Going On!

Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” franchise is finally coming to a close and this morning they provided us with the first official still from the first half of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn that features love birds Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson,) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) mixing their juices for what will eventually become an insane hybrid vamp-baby. Directed by Bill Condon, the first half of Breaking Dawn arrives in theaters November 18. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to Jacob Black, Bella Swan has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences.

Bill Condon Teases ‘Breaking Dawn’

Now in production is the final Twilight entry, Breaking Dawn, which is being split into two movies by Summit Entertainment, much as Warners broke up the final Harry Potter. Director Bill Condon is at the reigns and already teasing the upcoming finale with the following image: a bright picture of Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) arm in a bed with feathers. It’s a surprisingly bright pictorial considering the dark nature of the final frames (crazy hybrid baby birth). The beginning of the end hits theaters on November 11, 2011 — quite a long ways away.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Adds A Few More To Its Already Legion Cast

A whole slew of new (and mostly unfamiliar, at least to me) faces were added to the giant list that is the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn cast today. New members of the Bill Condon helmed sequels roster include Olga Fonda (Love Hurts), Janelle Froehlich (Hacienda Heights), Masami Kosaka (The Runaways), Sebastiao Lemos (Força-Tarefa), Amadou Ly (THE TESTED), Ty Olsson (2012), Wendell Pierce (Ray), and Carolina Virguez (Matalobos). No word on their roles, or which film they’re cast in (could be both!),and I can’t even begin to speculate because I never made it past page one of the first novel. Breaking Dawn: Part I hits theatres on November 18, 2011, while Breaking Dawn: Part 2 arrives almost a year later on November 16, 2012. Sparkle, sparkle, everyone.
