Sheri Moon Zombie Confirmed for ‘Lords of Salem’

Out of all of the casting for Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem, I’m kind of shocked he’s yet to announce the obvious addition of Sheri Moon Zombie, which we’ve now confirmed. Sheri has had a role in all of Zombie’s films from House of 1,000 Corpses to The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween and Halloween II.

She joins the previous announced Meg Foster, Ernest Thomas, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Torsten Voges and Bruce Dern, with filming starting this October.

TIFF ’11: The Most Stunning Look at ‘Twixt’ Yet!

Just announced to be premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival this September (full genre lineup), this morning we got our hands on a gorgeous and stunning look at Francis Ford Coppola’s top secret horror, Twixt, which features stars Val Kilmer and Elle Fanning in a very “modern” B-movie-esque image. Fanning’s makeup is out of this world.

Inspired by the gothic horror of Edgar Allen Poe, Coppola’s latest tells the tale of a burnt-out mystery writer (Val Kilmer) who gets mixed up in murder and evil in a California town.

A writer with a declining career arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.

The film will open to a 30-city tour this fall. Click the pic to see it hi-res. Trailer inside.
