[Album Review] Fear Factory ‘The Industrialist’

To say that Fear Factory helped shape the way that industrial and extreme metal could mix with melody doesn’t really give them enough credit. This group has been incredibly influential since their inception in 1989 and the 1992 release of their debut album, Soul Of A New Machine. Now, over 20 years later, the band is releasing The Industrialist, their eighth studio album. This is the second album to see singer Burton C. Bell reunited with original guitarist Dino Cazares after their split 2002. The album is also produced by Rhys Fulbar, who worked with the band on Obsolete, Digimortal, and Mechanize. But does this album have the same intensity and aggression that the band is known for? See below for my thoughts. READ MORE

I.N.C. ‘Fist Of Fascista’ Music Video Is Awesome

I’m a sucker for animated music videos. There, I said it. Claymation, animation, CGI, etc…, I love ‘em. So when I saw this video for I.N.C.‘s Fist Of Fascista, I just had to share it with you amazing readers. Put together by More Frames (the same lovely folk behind Lamb Of God‘s Ghost Walking video), the video mixes performance footage of the band with fascist imagery and children being taken over by…well, why don’t you just watch the video below!

This track comes off the band’s latest album, Heaven Sent…Hellbound (iTunes), which came out last August via Candlelight Records and was produced by Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, Opeth, In Flames). READ MORE

Fear Factory ‘Recharger’ Single Out Now

Fear Factory have released Recharger, the first single from their upcoming album The Industrialist, on iTunes. The album will be released June 5th via Candlelight records. You can stream the song below.

Fear Factory also announced that Mike Heller (System Divide) has come aboard as the official drummer. Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad), who recorded drums for the album, was unable to commit to touring due to previous commitments. READ MORE

New Fear Factory Trailer For ‘The Industrialist’

Just a bit ago, Fear Factory released a sample for their song Recharger. Now the band really wants to amp things up by releasing a two-minute trailer for their upcoming album The Industrialist, which will be coming out June 5th via Candlelight Records. While not nearly as high energy as Recharger, the music is very epic and the video an onslaught of industrial machines churning out blisteringly hot metal. Check it out below. READ MORE
