Tomorrow marks the release of melodic hard rock band Sevendust’s ninth studio album Black Out The Sun, which is the followup to 2010’s Cold Day Memory. In anticipation of this release, we got the opportunity to do a one-on-one chat with singer Lajon Witherspoon to discuss the album, touring with Coal Chamber, Lacuna Coil, and Candlelight Red, the 1999 show with Metallica in Detroit, and more. We also got to ask if Witherspoon had ever encountered any racism during their career as well as Lajon’s love of horror. You can check it all out below
Metal band Sevendust have announced that they will be touring N. American this Spring on a co-headlining run with the reunited nu-metal band Coal Chamber. Italian melodic metal band Lacuna Coil have been announced as direct support with Candlelight Red opening on the first half and Stolen Babies opening up on the second. The full touring schedule can be seen below.
Hard rock band Candlelight Red have announced several tour dates with Fozzy, the band fronted by WWE superstar Chris Jericho (interview). The band will be touring in support of their newly released Demons EP (iTunes). You can see the tour dates below.
Bloody-Disgusting is thrilled to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for Candlelight Red‘s song “Demons”, which comes off their latest EP Demons (iTunes). The video shows the band rocking out amidst fiery explosions and burst of debris interspersed with footage of a woman vomiting blood in heat signature filter (she looks mighty cold). Although I don’t think this video is NSFW, keep in mind that the woman, at points in the video, is covering her bare breasts with her hands. Just thought I should give a fair warning! Check out the video below!
Last week, Candlelight Red released a new EP entitled Demons, which you can snag from iTunes or Amazon. The EP was produced by Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose, who says that it “came out unreal.” In celebration of this, drummer Brian Dugan has given Bloody-Disgusting a list of the Top 10 Movie Demons! There are some obvious picks in the list, to be sure, but there a couple in there that surprised me as well. It’s a very fun list and you can check it out below. Make sure to leave your favorite movie demon in the comments!

I went to Uproar last year and had quite a blast, so I highly recommend snagging some tickets and checking out the festival. Admittedly, the lineup last year was much more solid but seeing Godsmack and Staind would be pretty awesome. READ MORE
