I could’ve sworn I did an ‘OMFG Of The Day’ to this last year. But after doing some digging, it looks like I was an idiot when this was released and passed it over. Well not again! This gem of a video popped up on Today’s Big Thing and I plan on sharing it’s joy with you all!

WINDS OF PLAGUE is currently holed up in Los Angeles with renowned producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed) tracking what is easily going to be their career defining opus. This is the band’s most cohesive and focused offering yet and is currently set for an early 2011 release through Century Media Records. Deathcore act Carnifex have released the video for “Sorrowspell” from their third full length “Hell Chose Me”. The video is super basic and simple. All in black and white and is awesome proof how the band performs live. Enjoy!

San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends, DEATH ANGEL, have uploaded the album cover art by Brent Elliot White (Job For A Cowboy, Carnifex, Whitechapel) for their upcoming release entitled Relentless Retribution, to their official Myspace page
Relentless Retribution is a full return to the bands thrash roots and will be released on September 3rd in Europe and the 14th in North America. The album was recorded at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with production genius Jason Suecof (Trivium, August Burns Red, The Black Dahlia Murder, All That Remains, Whitechapel, Devildriver).
Summer Slaughter – North America’s most extreme tour for underground metal – is returning to the U.S. and Canada in July!
The 31-date tour features headliners Decapitated from Poland plus The Faceless, All Shall Perish, The Red Chord, Veil Of Maya, Cephalic Carnage, Decrepit Birth, Carnifex, Animals As Leaders, and Vital Remains and launches in San Diego, California on July 17th. Tickets will cost between $18 – $20 in advance almost everywhere with the exception of Los Angeles and New York City.
States guitarist Vogg of the tour’s headlining act Decapitated: “After a couple years of silence, Decapitated will return to the U.S. & Canada to headline Summer Slaughter Tour 2010!!! Canada’s extreme death metal outfit, The Last Felony, has set an August 17th North American release date for their Lifeforce Records debut, Too Many Humans. Too Many Humans is The Last Felony’s sophomore effort, and the follow up to the 2008 debut full-length, Aeon Of Suffering (Galy Records).
The new album was recorded, engineered, and mixed at Montreal’s Garage Studio by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Neuraxis), and mastered by Pierre Remillard (Misery Index, Despised Icon, Ion Dissonance, Beneath the Massacre). Boston, Mass grind metalers The Red Chord are confirmed for this summer’s Summer Slaughter Tour featuring Decapitated, The Faceless, All Shall Perish, Veil of Maya, Cephalic Carnage, Decrepit Birth, Carnifex, Animals As Leaders, and Vital Remains. The tour kicks off in San Diego, CA on Saturday July 17 and finishes up in San Francisco, CA on Monday August 23.
Here’s what bassist Greg Weeks has to say about being out on the tour; “Summer Slaughter! Looking forward to old friends, new friends, borrowed and blue friends, cookouts, dance-offs, smelly people, burgers, long van rides, karate lessons, octopus balls, seedy areas, elastic waistband jeans, laughter and enjoying myself. See you there!!!”
Vocalist Guy Kozowyk adds; “We are excited to perform on a tour of bands slightly closer to our core style. It has been a while. Hopefully volcanoes and other natural disasters don’t piss on our parade this time around. Fingers are crossed!”
