Uwe Boll’s Seed is a pathetic, mean-spirited horror movie that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Somehow, some way, Boll is bringing us a sequel.
There are no plot details available for Seed 2: The New Breed, but we learned the film will star Caroline Williams, Christa Campbell, Nick Prinzipè, Jared Demetri Luciano, Manoush, Natalie Scheetz, Annika Strauss and Sarah Hayden.
In the first film from 2007, “After a seemingly undead man is bound and buried alive, he digs himself back to the surface and seeks bloody vengeance on those who caused him his suffering.”
Here’s the Cannes sales art. READ MORE
Update: It looks like the film is set to hit DVD/Blu-ray on August 13th after its theatrical run. You can pre-order it here. Thanks to FreddyKrueger13 for the heads up!

Bloody Disgusting has landed the exclusive first images from Contracted, the new film from writer/director Eric England (Madison County, Roadside). The film just wrapped principal photography earlier this week and stars Njarra Townsend, Caroline Williams, Katie Stegeman, Charley Koontz, E-Kan Soong, Matt Mercer, Simon Barrett, Alice Macdonald, Jennifer Gonzalez, Ruben Pla and Lionel D. Carson.
In the film, also penned by England, “A young girl has a one-night stand with a random stranger and contracts, what she thinks is, a sexually-transmitted disease – but is actually something much worse.” Here’s our initial report on the project.
I recently spent some time on the set of the film, and while I can’t give away too much just yet – I can say that this movie most certainly does not shy away from its subject matter. I wouldn’t wish the sickness visited on Townsend’s character on anyone but, from what I saw at least, it felt like she was rising to the challenges of the role. My visit left me feeling queasy in all of the intended ways.
We also have the exclusive word on England’s next directing gig, The Underneath. In the film written by T.J. Cimfel (Crawl To Me), “After her husband goes missing in a tragic mining accident, a distraught woman joins the rescue crew only to discover a demonic presence hellbent on reaching the surface.”

The production of horror anthologyThe Profane Exhibit continues, with Uwe Boll wrapping his segment starring Clint Howard, Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and Tara Cardinal. Other directors with segments in the project are Richard Stanley, Michael Todd Schneider, Marian Dora, Ryan Nicholson and Andrey Iskanov.
Uwe Boll’s film, Basement, is “about the corruption of a family in a world where things are not always what they appear to be. A world where monsters parade as family men and home is another word for hell. In an ideal suburban home which could best be described as boring and ordinary a horrible secret exists deep in the basement. Clint Howard and Caroline Williams play a married couple with an ordinary life- except for the fact that they keep their starving and abused daughter in a locked basement room that she has not left in years. In this perverse nightmare scenario that is unfortunately based on fact, all the young daughter (Tara Cardinal) wants to do is go outside and into the sun. Instead she must endure daily cruelties. This is a tale of sexual depravity and psychological torture, and a subversive look at the depraved realities of suburban life.”
