Prepare To Have Your Blackened Hearts Melted By The ‘Metaldudes Cats Book’

In an effort to help prove that the metal community is not filled with mindless, hate-filled, angry men, author/photographer Alexandra Crockett is putting together a photography book entitled Metaldudes Cats Book that showcases some of the most brutal and visionary members of the West coast metal community with their darling, adorable little balls of fur: their cats.

Crockett comments, “Metaldudes Cats Book challenges stereotypes of masculinity and the metal culture. I think we can all agree that cat photos and videos are an integral part of the Internet. Metaldudes Cats Book combines three loves that have a global reach: Kitties, Metal, and Dudes. A love of kitties binds the entire world together, even tough guys who listen to brutal, harsh music.

Isis, Xasthur, Atriarch, Black Goat, Book of Black Earth, Harassor, Lord Time, Skeletonwitch, King Dude, Morbid Angel, Anhedonist, Thrones, Lightning Swords of Death, Municipal Waste, Holy Grail, Nausea, Exhumed, Phobia, Murder Construct, Cattle Decapitation, and Gypsyhawk are only a few of the bands that have already volunteered to be photographed with their kitties.

[Exclusive] Cattle Decapitation Release What Might Just Be The Most NSFW Music Video Ever

Okay, I’ve seen some bizarre, twisted, and downright fucked up music videos in my time. But there wasn’t really anything that could’ve prepared me for Cattle Decapitation‘s “Forced Gender Reassignment”. Let me put it like this: when a video is too intense for YouTube, it gets on Vimeo. That site will let almost anything slide. Nope. Vimeo flat out rejected it, wanting nothing to do with it. But we at Bloody-Disgusting are never ones to shy away from bringing you the most vile visual material out there. So we gladly accepted the opportunity to not only premiere this video for you all, but also to be the only site on the internet with the balls to host it.

So, if you’ve got the guts (and the stomach), you can watch this INCREDIBLY NSFW video below. But don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Also, do us a favor and record your reaction of the video and post the video link in the comments below!

“Forced Gender Reassignment” comes from Cattle Decapitation’s latest album Monolith Of Inhumanity (iTunes). The band also has a ton of tour dates coming up. You can see the schedule for all the shows below. READ MORE

But if it’s that extreme and that intense, Bloody-Disgusting will always be there to bring you the goods.

Without revealing too much, the video, directed by Mitch Massie, takes literal inspiration from the song title and the lyrics. And to give you a little taste of what we have coming, below are three trailers for this music video. You have been warned. READ MORE

Fear Factory Cancel Shockwave 2012 Tour TWO DAYS BEFORE IT KICKS OFF

Fear Factory announced yesterday that the 2012 Shockwave Festival, which saw support from such acts as Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Revocation, and more, was fully and entirely cancelled. The reason? A combination of poor advance ticket sales and the fact that Voivod dropped off the tour was enough for promoters to pull the plug on the entire festival a mere two days before the start.

Fear Factory commented, “We are truly disappointed not to be part of the Shockwave tour. We send our sincerest apologies to all our North American fans planning to come out this Summer, but we will be back. Please look for Fear Factory headline dates in August.

The website for the Shockwave Festival shows only a single page with an explanation, apology, and refund information.

Below are some thoughts on why this tour didn’t make it. READ MORE

Dave McGraw From Cattle Decapitation Gets Pierced On The Road

Disclaimer: I’m friends with Pangea Piercing but Bloody-Disgusting is in no way involved or connected with them.

It’s harder to get more metal on the road than actually getting metal put in your face WHILE on the road, am I right? Well, Dave McGraw, drummer of deathgrind band Cattle Decapitation, seemed to think the exact same thing. Making a quick stop while on tour with Origin, Battlecross, Rings Of Saturn, Decrepit Birth, and Aborted, Dave went ahead and got his nose pierced at Pangea Piercing in Ann Arbor, MI at the Detroit tour stop. Nader Sadek Announces Debut Album ‘In The Flesh’

New York-based visual artist Nader Sadek has announced his collaboration with Steve Tucker (ex-Morbid Angel), Rune Erickson (ex-Mayhem/Ava Inferi), and Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) for the upcoming full-length album “Nader Sadek: In The Flesh” to be released on January 11th via newly launched Greyhaze Records (with worldwide distribution through a renowned metal label tba). An audio manifestation of Sadek’s acclaimed visual work (Mayhem, Sunn O)))), the project also features Krallice bassist Nick McMaster on the entirety of the album as well as guest performances from Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Sunn 0))), Tony Norman (X-Terrorizer, Monstrosity), Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Mike Lerner (Behold… the Arctopus) and Destructhor (Morbid Angel, Zyklon, Myrkskog).
Says Sadek, ‘My general association with death metal deals with the notion of false perceptions, and how great individuality can be smothered by the weight of an overwhelming environment. This idea is ever-present throughout all my work. Each of the players in this album played key roles in their respective bands, facing difficult challenges, and yet taking their bands to higher levels. Their talent as well as their tenacity has always intrigued me. As such, they fit perfectly in this project.’
A Sadek-directed video for the song “Nigredo In Necromance” (the first of several visual accompaniments to the project) made its premiere recently on Brooklyn Vegan and a live performance is scheduled in New York City around the albums January 2011 release date.

Whitechapel Releases First Single Off New Album

Knoxville, Tennessee’s Whitechapel have just released the new track ‘The Darkest Day of Man,’ off of the bands 3rd full-length release (second for Metal Blade), A New Era of Corruption due out June 8th. “The first single we have released from the new album A New Era of Corruption is titled ‘The Darkest Day of Man’ (which can be heard HERE). We played it live during our overseas touring at the beginning of this year in Australia and the UK and were getting a great response from the crowd for it. I feel this song perfectly demonstrates how we have progressed as a band musically and in our song writing, but have not stepped away from our signature Whitechapel sound,” comments guitarist and founding member Alex Wade.
