What Better Way To Cap Off The Holidays Than With A Christmas Message From Albert Wesker

I really can’t think of a better way to say farewell to Christmas — and the apocalypse, at least for the time being — than with this special holiday message from Resident Evil’s Albert Wesker. He seems a little bitter, like he’s not happy with Chris for leaving him in the mouth of a volcano or with Capcom for not including him in Resident Evil 6, but he did make this song for us so the least you can do is watch it. I suggest snuggling up close to that special someone in your life, maybe set your computer in front of a crackling fire where you’re undoubtedly roasting chestnuts, and enjoy this video. It may be Wesker’s last Christmas, but we still have plenty more to look forward to.

Capcom, And DmC’s Dante, Would Like To Wish You A Very Naughty Christmas

This morning, Capcom’s PR team sent me a very stylish Christmas card that feature’s Dante from the upcoming Ninja Theory developed Devil May Cry reboot. That got me thinking about how exactly Dante would celebrate the holidays. When I imagine the parties he throws around Christmas time all that comes to mind is blood, sex, and pizza. Not a bad way to spend the holidays, I think. Check out the card after the jump. It’s pretty great.

Horror legend Christopher Lee is 90-years old but that doesn’t stop him from being the dictionary definition of the word “badass”. On top of being in some of the greatest horror films of all time, Lee is also a trained singer. So what kind of music does a man of Lee’s stature release? Why, heavy metal of course! With the Charlemagne project, Lee has released two heavy metal albums (check out “The Bloody Verdict of Verden” below).

Now, Lee has released A Heavy Metal Christmas, which features heavy metal versions of the classic Christmas noels “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Silent Night”. You can hear audio samples below or you can snag the songs on iTunes. READ MORE

The Ultimate Gift Guide For That Special Gamer In Your Life

Christmas is just around the corner, but if you’re anything like me you’ve procrastinated and still haven’t bought the gifts you need to get for all the special people in your life. That’s okay, I understand your situation and I’m here to help. I’m sure most of us know gamers, whether they’re of the casual variety or the more hardcore persuasion. You might not know what to get for these people, I mean, how can you know what games they own and which ones they don’t? If you’re getting them video games, you have to take their personal taste into account. Final Fantasy may be a good game, but maybe they’re not a fan of the series. Getting them a game they don’t enjoy could be detrimental to your relationship with that person. They could think you don’t know them, or worse, they think you’re angry with them because you gave them a video game they hated. This could lead to a pretty awkward Christmas.

To keep something like this from happening, we’re going to forgo looking for video games so we can instead focus on gaming related items. I’ve even separated this list of goods into three tiers, divided by price. No need to thank me, I did it because I care. I’m here to spread Christmas faster than the T-Virus spreads a hunger for living flesh. Now sit back, grab a mug of hot cocoa, click that little read more button, and start gifting.

2010 BLACK FRIDAY CHOPPING LIST: MUSIC

While the horror genre is most closely tied to the medium of film, it also sometimes manifests itself in the musical realm, with some acts being more aboveboard with their horror-movie references (i.e. White Zombie, The Misfits) and others merely hinting at a subtle menace threatening to rise up at any moment. Which you prefer really depends on how you like your blood and guts served – fresh off the grill or slipped quietly into your dinnertime soup (or maybe it just depends on what you’re in the mood for). In the “Music” section of B-D’s Black Friday Chopping List we focus a little bit on both types, featuring new releases from artists both classic and contemporary that are firmly entrenched – either overtly or subtly – in the horror tradition.
