Paris I’ll Kill You

Darkness has descended on the city of Romance, and Death is coming for you in the most glorious way imaginable…

David R. Ellis, Xavier Gens, Joe Dante, Christian Alvart, Christopher Smith, Paco Plaza, Timo Vuorensola, Eron Sheean, Jorn Heitmann, Bjorn Stein and Mans Marlind all direct segments. Described as a look at the seedy underbelly of the city of love! The title is a spoof on the romantic portmanteau feature Paris, je t’aime (2006), which featured directors Gus van Sant, Alexander Payne, Tom Tykwer, Walter Salles and the Coen brothers, among others.

Detour

Smith has just completed the second draft, which he told Screen Daily is “a modern re-spin on the film-noir genre with a structural shake up…. It’s about how one decision can carve two entirely separate destinies.

The project, which centres around a roadtrip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, has already received UK Film Council development funding.

Christopher Smith Takes Horrific ‘Detour’

Super brief news as Black Death, Triangle, Creep and Severance director Christopher Smith is developing Detour, a US-based road movie thriller with elements of film noir. He won’t be directing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as unconfirmed reports were claiming as factual (the reason why you never read it here on BD).

Unfortunately, no other details are available.
