Official Teaser Poster Premiere For BJ McDonnell’s ‘Hatchet III’!
In limited theaters June 14 from MPI/Dark Sky Films, we now have the official teaser poster for Hatchet III!
Opening week – New York City’s Cinema Village and in Los Angeles at Laemmle Music Hall – will feature special appearances by cast and crew, followed by Q&A’s at each location. Additional cities will be announced at a later date.
The film marks the directorial debut of BJ McDonnell who previously has handled A and B camera operations on such features as Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Adam Green’s first two Hatchet films. ‘Hatchet III’ Has a Release Date, Teaser Trailer!
MPI/Dark Sky Films announced today that Hatchet III will be released on June 14, and has also shared with us the film’s first teaser trailer! Hatchet III is set to open in New York City’s Cinema Village and in Los Angeles at Laemmle Music Hall. Get Hooked By The First Ever ‘Hatchet III’ Clip
Dark Sky Films aired the first ever footage from BJ McDonnell’s Hatchet 3 that’ll get you hooked (pun intended).
Hatchet 3 will continue the saga of Crowley, the “Bayou Butcher,” who first made his gruesome mark in 2007′s groundbreaking Hatchet. Adam Green’s Hatchet 2 sequel became the first unrated independent horror film to be exhibited by a major chain (AMC Theatres) in more than 25 years when it opened.
The movie is written and executive produced by series creator Adam Green, who also directed the first two films in the series. Veteran camera operator BJ McDonnell (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Project X, Easy A, Hatchet 2) makes his directing debut on Hatchet 3.

[San Diego Comic-Con '12] Meet Victor Crowley In Bloody ‘Hatchet III’ Poster!
This Saturday, July 14th, Dark Sky Films and ArieScope Pictures will be distributing limited edition teaser posters for their upcoming horror sequel Hatchet III exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con. On-hand at SDCC to sign the posters will be writer/producer Adam Green, director BJ McDonnell, and cast members Kane Hodder, Zach Galligan, Caroline Williams, and Rileah Vanderbilt.
The teaser poster, featuring Kane Hodder as slasher icon Victor Crowley, offers fans their first look at producer Adam Green’s hotly-anticipated film.
The official Hatchet III signing will be held on Saturday, July 14th on the San Diego Comic-Con floor at area/table AA21 from 02:30 PM – 04:30 PM. Each fan who comes to the signing will receive a free limited edition poster, which will only be available at Comic-Con 2012. Another Batch Of Victor Crowley Victims Head Into ‘Hatchet III’ Swamp
Filming is officially underway in New Orleans on Hatchet III, the latest installment of the cult horror series from MPI/Dark Sky Films and ArieScrope Pictures.
Zach Galligan, who is best known for starring in 1980s classics Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch, has joined the cast, as has Cody Blue Snider, the son of Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, and Rileah Vanderbilt, who plays a SWAT team member.
As previously announced, also heading to the Louisiana swamps: Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), Caroline Williams (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Diane Goldner (The Collector), Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs) and The FP writer-director Jason Trost. Bear McCreary, the composer who worked on Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica and scored The Walking Dead, will be handling scoring duties for the movie.
