It’s another hearty week here at Comics To Feast On. It is seriously starting to feel like every week is just getting better. With all the new series popping up just in time for spring, it’s time to revise those pull lists and try out some new books. This week marks the triumphant return of Brian K. Vaughan with his new series, SAGA (buy it, buy it, buy it), the launch of Jimmy Palmiotti’s strange OGN CRAB QUEEN, plus the beginning of Ennis’ new CROSSED storyline. It’s that time of week again, so get out your bibs and baby chairs and prepare for Comics to Feast On. The amount of killer titles set for release this week is out of control! This is one of the best we’ve seen in a long time, so you may have to spend some extra dough on your trip to the shop. This week, Jeff Lemire starts a new arc on ANIMAL MAN, the 68 trade is finally out, and Willingham launches his new Vertigo book, FAIREST.

While Green Wake may be on its way out, Wiebe is not going away any time soon. As Kirsty has just accepted her role as head Cenobite, she’s got a lot to learn about that devious place called hell where she will reign supreme. Caitlín R. Kiernan is known for her outstanding work in dark fantasy/scifi fiction, but she also dabbles in horror comics like the Sandman spinoff The Dreaming. Not to mention a few hundred other stories…Dark Horse announced today that Kiernan will be kicking off her first ongoing title this April, Alabaster: Wolves, which focuses on a female teen who has been battling monsters for as long as she can remember. Joshua Luna is making his solo debut as both writer and artist next week with his brand new series, Whispers. Joshua Luna is best known for collaborating with his other half, Jonathan Luna, and together they have created some of the most alluring supernatural drama comics out there. Whispers follows a young man with severe O.C.D. who discovers that he has the ability to manifest himself as a ghost while he dreams. The surprisingly fun Angel & Faith continues next week with issue #5 and the teen melo-vamp-drama can only go up from here. Perhaps when the series began a few months back, readers had their doubts as to whether an Angel and Faith comic would really satisfy anyone. It’s clear now that this series is better than anyone could have imagined. It’s fun, it’s whimsical, and it includes vampires without trying to be “the next big thing”.
