Joshua Fialkov’s new creator owned series ‘The Bunker’ launched earlier this month on Comixology. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading the debut issue, I urge you to check it out. The series is about a group of friends who find a mysterious underground bunker which holds all of their futures.
Failkov’s story never stops building momentum. This comic will be one of the most talked about books this year. The story deals with fate, friendship, and the apocalypse but does so in new and exciting ways.
Sadly we here at Bloody Disgusting missed the opportunity to review this book when it was released. Instead, here is a broad discussion of the book’s themes, ideas, and constructs. We won’t miss ‘The Bunker’ next month. READ MORE

Comixology makes getting digital comics even easier, and more importantly, cheaper. The site is now offering bundle packages as well as the option to subscribe to your favorite series. Unfortunately the subscription option doesn’t save you any money, it just means you don’t have to go in and order every Wednesday when a new issue drops. However, the bundles offer some pretty sweet deals and some decent savings. Some of the better deals include a Joe Hill bundle pack that saves you 21%, and the entire Rick Remender “Uncanny X-Force” run for 33% off. READ MORE

With the digital age of comics thriving, there sure have been some issues over the past few months. It began a month ago when Apple asked French comics distributor Izneo to remove over a thousand titles from the app due to content issues. Then began the whole “Saga” fiasco, which turned out to be ComiXology trying to stay in line with Apple’s guidelines. The “Saga” ban was blown out of proportion and eventually the issue in question was put back on the device. However, Bleeding Cool reports that now some other titles have been removed from the iOS app. READ MORE
