There are only 182.5 days left until Halloween, so lets celebrate!

I love Halloween, always have, and every year I like to extend it to encompass all of October, rather than saving all the fun for the 31st. Now, I’ve found another way to celebrate my favorite holiday with something called Halfway-to-Halloween. It just so happens that this momentous occasion is on April 30. Update: Crime Scene Pictures has acquired rights and plans to shoot early next year! Word has it offers are being made on a new horror spec from writer Carter Blanchard entitled Costume. The big catch is that this new horror icon will kick off a brand new franchise. With Saw supposedly ending, we really could use something fresh. Anyhow, the story takes place on Halloween night where a a costume surfaces that possesses whomever puts it on. Think about that: the killer can never die. Genius anyone? Hoping to hear a major studio gets behind it. Blanchard also penned Dead Asleep for Jonathan Liebesman and New Line Cinema, along with Near Death for Fox Searchlight.
