Anchor Bay Films is releasing Vamps, on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, November 13th with a limited theatrical release on November 2nd. The film is from Clueless director Amy Heckerling and stars Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) and Krysten Ritter (“Breaking Bad”).
While this film is steadily shedding its horror credentials in order to reveal itself to be a flat-out romantic comedy, that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a bad movie. It just might not be for us is all. Regardless, I’m always curious to see what Heckerling comes up with next. She more than earned the benefit of the doubt with Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
In the film, “Goody (Silverstone) and Stacy (Krysten Ritter) are addicted to the night life, clubbing, hooking up and always looking for the next thrill, all the while keeping a big a secret-they happen to be modern-day vampires. But even with lifetimes of dating experience behind them, the duo realizes they still have a lot to learn about love when Stacy unexpectedly falls for the son of a vampire hunter, and Goody runs into the man of her dreams from decades earlier. With their destinies at stake, the girls are faced with a difficult choice; give up their eternal youth for a chance at love, or continue to live their uncomplicated fabulously single lives forever.”
Vamps also features an all-star supporting cast, including Sigourney Weaver, Richard Lewis, Dan Stevens, Justin Kirk, Wallace Shawn, Marilu Henner, and Kristin Johnson. Head inside for the poster! READ MORE
Some might look at this cover art for the long in development Aliens: Colonial Marines to be nothing more than neat box art. Its eye-catching, there’s no denying that, but there’s more to it. You see, the marines are inside the xenomorph’s head, and that’s actually a metaphor for the complex relationship between the xenomorphs and the marines. I’m just kidding, the xenomorphs want to to tear the marines into pieces while they scream and fear-pee themselves, and there’s not much else to it.
Looks cool, right? That’s just the teaser! Head past the break for the whole thing, logos and all. Aliens: Colonial Marines releases on the PS3, PC, Xbox 360, and Wii U this fall. READ MORE
