OMFG Of The Day: ‘Hatchet’ And ‘Hack/Slash’ Collide This Winter In Series’ 2011 Annual!

One of the trademarks of Tim Seeley’s ubber popular “HACK/SLASH” has always been the fact that the monthly will often implement the help of some of horror’s favorite icons. Recently that has been missing from the title, but come November the Image crew will be more than making up for it as they team-up with writer/director Adam Green for “HATCHET/SLASH”, the series’ all new 2011 annual, and the first from the publisher. Below you can check out all the killer deets and get your first look art the cover art…

OMFG Of The Day: ‘Hack/Slash’ Takes On ‘Jersey Shore’, Reality TV, And Blows Our Freakin’ Minds!

One of the things that makes Tim Seeley and Daniel Leister’s “HACK/SLASH” so endearing is the fact that it is always conscious of the events of the real world, and isn’t afraid to take a ‘stab’ at them in the way only Seeley and Leister can. (You thought we were going to say boobs, didn’t you? Perverts.) The perfect example of this is the newly released advance cover artwork for some of the upcoming issues of the monthly from Image Comics, one of which featuring the loose likenesses of the “JERSEY SHORE” cast. Below you can check out the covers and see for yourself.

REVIEW: ‘Hack/Slash: My First Maniac’ #1

When Tim Seeley made the announcement that he would be taking his flagship title “HACK/SLASH” away from publisher Devil’s Due and moving over to Image Comics, there was a very positive outcry amongst fans of the series who saw the move as a step in the right direction for their beloved series. It is true that under DDP the title felt as if it were being held down, and with many issues finding themselves pushed back or delayed from their original release dates it was apparent that change was needed. With the final issue of “SUPER SIDEKICK SLEEPOVER SLAUGHTER” that was released last month, Tim has decided to boldly go where he has never gone before: into the origins of his iconic heroine, Cassie Hack.
