Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe Writes Passionate Plea To Metal Fans

Randy Blythe, vocalist for Lamb Of God, has posted a lengthy essay on his Tumblr entitled “Be Carefully”. It is a heartbreaking, emotional piece in which Randy explains many of his feelings after he was exonerated of the death of 19-year old Daniel Nosek, who died after suffering injuries at a 2010 LoG concert in Prague. It is also a post in which Blythe makes impassioned pleas to the metal community, both the fans as well as the promoters/club owners.

Beautifully written and thoughtfully crafted, it is not an easy piece to read. I’ll fully admit that I had tears in my eyes when Blythe describes sitting down with Nosek’s mother and holding her hands while they both wept.

Randy Blythe Trial May Have A Verdict Tomorrow

According to WTRV, the Randy Blythe (singer of Lamb Of God) trial has begun again in the Czech Republic after a month-long adjournment due to three witnesses not being present. The first was a girl who was in attendance at the 2010 show where 19-year old Daniel Nosek suffered a head injury that later led to his death. The other two are expert witnesses, one a criminal psychologist and one a criminal psychiatrist. All three took the stand earlier today in court and offered their views.

The girl, Anna Rozsivalova, stated that she was standing close to the stage and “…described the audience as being crazy“. Rozsivalova also added, “Daniel Nosek attempted to climb the barrier to get onto the stage, but as he was pulling himself up, Blythe lifted him by the shoulders and pushed him off with two hands, from the front. She said Daniel Nosek fell backwards, and people moved away to avoid being hit.

Update On Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe

It’s been just over a week since we reported that Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe was arrested by Czech police for manslaughter. The incident in question, which occurred in 2012, was regarding the death of a fan, 19-year old Daniel Nosek, who in 2010 fell off the stage at a LoG show, hit his head, slipped into a coma, and died after several days.

According to both management and LoG publicity, neither of them were aware of ANY charges or of the circumstance at all. They were completely blindsided by this situation. Also, even though Blythe paid the legal system their equivalent of $200,000 (which he states is his annual income) for bail, he has still not been released. As a matter of fact, he will not be released until next week, according to officials. Now, while I can join the endless throngs of people who are screaming at the unjustness of this, I do know that it is only relatively recently that the Czech Republic gained independence and democracy. Therefore, there are probably still snags and hiccups in the process.

Throughout this all, Blythe has shown nothing but patience and positivity. He has apparently not once complained about his situation nor has he made any demands. Rather, he is apparently spending his time in jail learning Mongolian. He has also stated that, upon his release, he would like to meet the family of Daniel Nosek.

While there is no determination of guilt or innocence here, it should be remembered that a family lost a son. It is tragic that Nosek passed away and I offer my deepest condolences to his family.

With that being said, I have not yet seen enough evidence to place the guilt on Blythe. Rather, it seems that as more and more evidence is released, the more it looks like there is something else going on. Slow-motion footage of the event in question has raised many questions from both fans and legal advisors.

Whatever the situation, I hope that a amicable and peaceful resolution can be found. READ MORE
